It's so nice when SLR is able to take in lovely dogs like this. Let's hope it's not too long before someone comes along and falls in love with her

Sasha had a lovely run at the Country park yesterday. She met up with two other Lurchers, but one of them was a bit scared of her. She really does bounce up to dogs like a kangaroo. Today she met up with Ted the Lurcher. A Deerhound/saluki x who lives nearby. He was hesitant at first but then let go and had a lovely run with her. Thankfully both of them are accurate when they run back and pass you! She really is the loveliest of dogs. She will definitely need a home that has the time and energy to run with her at least twice a day, a running mate is imperative for this little lady. Here she is today at the Country park.

These two really do cuddle up together. Probably because they sleep downstairs together on their own. Winnie has a lot more confidence because Sasha is oozing confidence. Sasha is ultra intelligent. She can now open the kitchen cupboard door to her food bucket, so MC has to put the food bucket out into the entrance passage when I walk the second three dogs. I am hopefully one step ahead of madam Sasha. But you can' get angry, she just looks with those lovely eyes and cocks her head to one side. She has learnt that soft toys are great fun and loves to toss them up into the air. Such a happy dog.

Sasha sounds wonderful! She REALLY does look as if she could be Margot's Mum and more than that, the sassiness is a definite trait.

LOL. Except she is younger than Margot. Sasha is around just 2 year's old.

I keep looking at this thread, seeing the pictures and updates and can't help thinking that these two girls would make a lovely pair to adopt together. There....I've said it.

I've also been thinking that too. Only because Winnie needs the confidence of Sasha and Sasha likes to cosy up. Unbelievably she cosies up to Honey now and Sofi.
And no... I don't want 5 dogs. My legs are so short since I've been doing 4 walks a day!

Sorry not to update, but I have rather had my hands full lately! Well, we now have a chain lock on the dog food cupboard as Madam Sasha got in again and ate about 10 meals worth of complete. I debated whether to take her the Vets. I tried the salt water solution, but she was having none of that. I took up the water bowl and just kept watching her sides to see if they started bulging. This was around 11 a.m. which was after breakfast!! By teamtime no ill effects and madam wanted her tea! I gave her a small handful. I am sure she was a camel x kangaroo in a previous life! She continues to be good offlead, although full-on in the return run, but I think all the dog walkers are getting used to her speed and know just to stand still as she flies past. Her best friend is a small french bulldog pup called Hugo. He loves to chase her and she loves to keep him just behind her, cruising. She made a few friends today in the woods and has made Honey much more amiable to other dogs coming up to say hello. A couple of photos from this morning's walk in the woods. Treats done off she and Hugo go again

A quick update on this lovely lady. She is continuing to be a delight out and about. She doesn't really like being on lead until after she has had a fly around so we generally load up her Sofi and Honey and drive to the country park and offload her. She has made so many friends there, both big and small, and she seems to trust and like the smaller ones to play with, but they need to be fast. Her best friend is Hugo, a puppy French Bulldog, who runs rings round her and is so in love with her. She continues to raid the kitchen cupboards, but we have now removed all food lower down and leave the cupboard open when we have to leave her. A bit of a blip this week when some fellow walkers' dogs flushed out a baby Deer. Sasha was running with them so joined them. The owner of the Lurcher got his dog off the deer, and Sasha picked it up not knowing what to do but not wanting to put it down either. We did get her to leave it. I have avoided that part of the country park for a week to try and get it out of her head. But it is the season for baby deer and rabbits. Not seen many rabbits around though yet. She likes to lie as a pair on sofas so will try to get up next to whoever is there.
