Blotted her copybook today!! Racing around the field behind the house she picked up a fox scent. The fox always goes through a small ground level gap in the fence and out over the road. Sasha decided to follow the scent. She squeezed under the gap and out onto the road. Luckily not a lot of traffic at this time of day and a clear long road to see, and once she had realised what she had done she just sat there!! in the road. A lovely Learner Driver instructor got out of her car and called her over and Sasha duly went to her. I passed her the lead and she clipped her on and manouvered her back through the hedge!!
OMG. Kittens, pups I had them!! Sasha. Didn't know what all the bother was about.
I now have to go and do some fence repairs. And get some wine..

Thank goodness our Jemima is too big to get through a fox sized gap. She likes chasing anything, but it doesn't appear to be prey drive, just a love of running!! Also if she does get on the scent of anything, ahe just follows it becauase it's an interesting smell. However she is less likely to come back if she is sniffing something. Bless her. Sacha sounds similar, so bless her too!! She and Jemima would make a right pair!!
Foxes are a flipping nuisance. On New Year's Eve 2000 we were all dressed up to go to the Hogmanay for the evening. We let the dogs out for a last wee before we left and they disappeared through a foxhole we hadnt seen. We ended up spending half an hour in our finery chasing round the fields with a torch!! We found them in a neighbours garden.
She continues to a good house guest and so lovable. She has a little dance whilst she is waiting for her dinner. And the biggest softest brown eyes.
Yesterday, she went to Pets at Home with me for the first time. I think this is the first time in any shop for her. She was scared of the trolley and anyone who dropped anything, but was curious too. She wanted to greet any dog in there and completely ignored the bunnies!
The staff made a fuss of her and she got some treats.
Here she is snuggled up.

Cant wait to meet her although obviously I would rather she were on her forever sofa! Louie will be beyond excited, he gets so many treats on that day because he wiggles up to everyone smiling!!
Sasha met Ben today. Carmel came over with the big lumux to collect her auction prizes. She play bowed and wanted him to play. Bless.
I then decided to take Tag, Sasha and Honey to the Country park. She was impeccably behaved. Ran up to several dogs, including a tiny jack russel and nose to nose wagging. She then made a friend of a little whippet and they had such a lovely run around. Each she is called she comes back to treats. But she doesn't go far anyway, despite Miss Honey wanting to lead her off into the Woods. This is a terrific dog. I wish I had taken my camera. She is just a joy to watch.
