Bit of a mammoth this one! Can anyone help get lovely old Lizzie back from East Yorkshire to Poole in Dorset on Saturday please? Her current owners are able to get her as far south as Nottingham but Nottingham to Poole is still a good long ways to go!
If you can help, please comment below, pm or text me? Please don't message or email Jenny about it, as she has very sketchy internet at the moment.

We will be getting to arranged location with Lizzie in the afternoon at some point traffic permitting. It would be earlier in the day but our daughter has a ballet exam x

Just had the utmost pleasure on bringing this utterly beautiful little girl from Nottingham to Northampton, to be transported in the next leg of her new life... I was so tempted to say... dog? What dog? And then take her home with me... she travelled perfectly, had a few gravy bones... A little confusion at the service station at Northampton, but soon sorted! She gave Andrew a , and jumped into the back of his car like a dream xx

I'm so pleased she travelled like a dream, I miss her so much already. Hope she's reached the other end ok, such a wonderful dog xx Yes, they both arrived home just before 7pm, then we took all three out for a lead walk/wee shortly followed by their tea. the odd grumbles from all three but nothing unexpected and soon settled. I'm guessing she's a cuddly, people dog as she kept trying to get attention from us both - which we ignored in the most part as we don't want her getting SA later on. All three spent the rest of the evening in the lounge with us, snoozing away. At night, Lizzie has her own bedroom right next to ours so she has her own space, but can still hear us snoring and moving about. She settled well until 5.30am when she started to whistle. Andrew took her down to the garden for a wee, then back to bed until 7am when we got up and gave them breakfast. The plan for today is a couple of nice walks, and try to spend a normal Sunday pottering about and reading the papers. She's a poppet - respectful, knows to sit and wait for dinner, on your bed and walks a treat on lead. x

Ohhhh that's wonderful! Thankyou so so much for letting me know how she is, I cried so much yesterday over it all. She's a dog in a million and so genuine, it sounds like she's being the Angel she always is it's made my day hearing about her, she'll love having her own bedroom, the queen of comfort she is lol! Lots of kisses and ear ruffles to Lizzie xx

She's doing fine Danni. x
Lizzie greeted us with a little dance this morning, like a seagull patting for worms! She doesn't seem used to walking on hard floors - we have tiles/wooden flooring with non-slip rugs downstairs throughout. Hopefully, she'll get used to it, but for now (like Greta did/does), she's using the dog beds as safe 'islands' when travelling from room to room.
We've been for a good walk on the heath this morning. Lizzie walks like a dream on lead (she had a 9-10 foot lead and only ever used about half of it). Alfie's on lead at the moment due to having a couple of staples in his side, so having a dog who's easy on lead is a blessing. We only met a few of the steady regulars, all of whom are very respectful of dogs on leads. Not sure what (if any) prey drive she has, as she doesn't seem to have even noticed the two cats this morning.

I'm so glad this worked out so well. And very relieved that we were let off the hook, because my car doesn't have air-con, so the dogs would have been miserable in yesterday's heat!
Danni, my heart goes out to you it really, really does. *hugs* ... But please know that Lizzie will have nothing less than the best under SLR's care. x

So, just to add, at 17:45 (less than 24 hours of being here), we have our first roach, and no phone to hand to take a picture!
