Freya has come into us from a mixed Rescue who were asked to take her by a family of an elderly gentleman, who has now gone into a care home suffering with dementia. Freya has had a lot of cupboard love, bless her, and so could do with losing a few pounds. The mixed Rescue had her neutered for us last week and she has now come into Marty and Carol for fostering. She is a very lovable easy going small girlie, who is everything except cat friendly. She is interested in squirrels, and certainly can run to see them off when she wants to. She has found the sofa too! We are not sure how child friendly she is, but with her lovely temperament, we don’t imagine there will be a problem. As she has had a life for the last couple of years with an older person, perhaps a home with older children might be good. It is early days as she has only just come into us, but I am sure that Marty and Carol will update you all as she unfolds. She will be on a bit of a diet to try to reduce that little saddle back she has gained!" She is only little, around 23" to the shoulder, and around 23 kilos. I'm sure once she is out and about with Carol and Marty's pack she will get back that lovely whippety shape. On the sofa with Michael, whilst she stayed with us.

Lovely gentle face. She doesn't look that chubby in the pics. I'm sure a few good blasts around with the Freedom pack will have her back in shape in no time.

Happy Easter everyone. Carol met with Jenny on Friday at Portsmouth (after their long and traumatic journey) and met Freya. The Port was manic and the ferries packed. We managed to get on the new ferry which has a dedicated dog room, so after taking Freya up in the lift had a comfortable journey to Fishbourne. She wasn't happy with all the cars going past her when we got off the ferry, but when we saw Marty with our pack, she brightened up. A short introduction then in the car for home,
She has settled well and our pack is getting used to her. No aggression with them or food. We had one accident in the house, understandable, but now she goes to the door to ask to go out and loves to chase the others around the garden. We had a quiet day yesterday and Freya has tried out all the beds and her crate, and our dogs also like her crate Marty bought her a coat yesterday as some of ours were too big or too small. That wind is still pretty chilly. Will get them out for a walk today and see how she is on the lead. She is a really sweet girlie and we love her already. Will get some pics up later.

The lovely Fraya sounds like one of those dogs that just fit in like a missing piece of jigsaw.

She is absolutely adorable. Has such a nice nature. I am so sorry Carole, with everything going pear shaped on Friday, I forgot the coat was in the car, and it was a nice warm waterproof that fitted her just right.
I know she doesn't look that overweight in the photos peeps, but she is a small whippet cross, and is now a flat saddled backed girlie due to the sag. I picked her up to put her in the car when she first came in and boy she is heavy!!! I am sure she will start to spring up silthlike in no time.
She was the same with my pack Carole, so accepting and submissive. xx
