I have now taken Evie out for a few 10 minute walks and she walks perfectly on lead. She is a little nervous if a car goes past us but this is improving and few more walks and she will be fine. No pulling except perhaps when she sees a rabbit or squirrel and then just a little..
She is feeling better in herself and starting to get a little bored with her sedate lifestyle but it will be some time before she is allowed off lead. I take her for a walk round the garden every 1 to 2 hours and once a day with Meggie (who is also on restricted exercise) on a 10 minute walk, which can be increased to 15 mins at the end of this week. She enjoys being with my dogs and she should be rehomed with another hound.
She has met my 2 year old grand daughter a few times and she is brilliant and gentle with her, in fact she is lovely in every way. I really can't say anything negative about this beautiful girl.

A little update on Evie. She is now bursting with energy and being walked every day. Her walks are now 25 minutes and she is coping very well with this. She could probably do longer but I am taking no chances and sticking to what the vet told me to do. When she is allowed off lead and able to run round outside she will be able to run off her energy but at the moment, apart from her daily walk I take her for 5 or 6 on lead walks round the garden, just to help her from getting too bored. She is so much more confident and very friendly with all people and every dog she has met. Evie would like to spend all her time in between sleeps trying to play with the others and can get very lively. The others are not so keen to play quite as much and I seem to spend a lot of time making sure everyone is happy! She is a very lovely hound. Most of the photos are of her when she is laying down as she very rarely stands still long enough to get a decent photo, but I will keep trying.

She really is lovely. I know how hard it is to keep them calm so they can recover but also keep them occupied. Freddy was a nightmare at times but turned out amazing. You are doing such a fantastic job with her.
