Another update for you..... This little man is the business! He's got a lot of spirit that hasn't yet been boisterously bumped out of him by our two great oafs. He also looks like Count Dracula when he pops out in the garden for his last pee wearing his PJs - especially if he has his collar up! He has been sleeping in the crate for the last 4 nights and the last two nights have been dry. He slept through until about 06:30 this morning and we didn't hear a peep out of him at all. Potty training is progressing, and mishaps are down to me not him. I can sometimes get engrossed in my work and not notice that he is up and toddled off to find a corner somewhere. On the plus side, he will pee within a minute of being put out on the grass. The older boys were out at day care today and little Jakey slept all morning. As soon as the boys got back he was ready for some fun and got stuck in to mischief making. Kerry has worked wonders on him and he is a different lad this week, not so mouthy. He also loves sleeping in my lap, which does make it a bit awkward to type on my laptop. I have knackered my neck! Here's a quick pic from when he went out to nitrogenate the foliage yesterday....

I'm really enjoying your updates. They're going to provide a really good background to this gorgeous little boy, and the socialisation and lessons he's learning will be invaluable.

Hi All,
We sent young Jakey off for a sleepover on Thursday and things have gone so well he decided not to come home!
Mike and Jillian (sorry don't know their alias on the board) have been hoodwinked by the little rascal into offering him free board and lodging.
I did have to hold back a sniffle as I saw him off.
Kerry and I are hoping to pop down on the weekend to pick up our bits and bobs and say our good-byes to the wee scamp.
All in all, a great outcome!
Steffan

Can't wait any longer to tell you all, Jake is enjoying Medstead (just outside Alton). He is getting on so well with Willow, and thanks to Kerry and Steffan's care and training he is a most welcome new addition to our household, no problems whatsoever. He is clean in the house and a bundle of fun (but oh, what an appetite!)
We fell in love with him when we first met him. He is looking forward to meeting you all on the Ashurst walk on 15th (though he won't be doing the whole walk - too far for his little legs!.
Hope to add some pics soon.
Mike
