They're going to be the perfect pack for this little boy. He's going to have lots of fun persuading them that they really want to play and my money's on Jake to win. Well done for helping this lovely pup. The puppies are hard work but they more than make up for it in fun and happy times. Looking forward to hearing about their antics together

Yep, like that here too. They have such sharp little teeth. Ours want to play and then it hurts... so they end up telling Isla off. He looks like he's having a blast there. x

Way too cute, but so much work. Well done for stepping forward.
Should be very good experience for the big boys too.

Hi All, A progress report on Jake:- We've had him since Sunday night and our two boys are just about getting used to having a Tasmanian Devil in the house! Uncle Snoop has been great, whilst Comet has been a little more reserved. So far, one or both of us have slept downstairs with the boys every night to ensure harmony prevails - so far so good. Jake does tend to settle down pretty well, but has on occasion wondered over to one of his uncles to see if they want a cuddle at 04:00 in the morning. They are not usually that impressed, as they both prefer their own space at night. Aly (the vet) let me know Jake was 4.2kg when she got him last week. When we picked him up Sunday (and if our rubbish kitchen scales are to be believed) he was 4.7kg. Last night he was 5.3kg just after this supper. As he is now over the 5kg mark we are going to up his daily intake to 150g over three meals (Burns - Puppy). He's also getting a little Wellbeloved Turkey/Rice wet sachet with each meal. If we were to assume he is pure Saluki (which we know he is not) then he'd be tracking very low weight for his age (estimated DOB = 04-Sep-2015).... If we assume he is pure Whippet (again, we know he is not), then he is tracking right at the 'upper limit of normal' for weight... Aly suggested he might be Whippet X Terrier of some kind. We'll do some pics on the weekend when we have him romping in the garden. Steffan

Lovely update. Sounds like Jake will have to learn about letting sleeping dogs lie!!!

Has anyone nearby got a crate that you can borrow. It is an assett when rehoming them that they are used to crates, for those times adopters need to go out and leave them. xx

I've got a spare crate but I think I'm quite a way from you. Bear it in mind in case you want to try without having to buy. I've actually got 3 crates and typically only use one and sometimes two.

Here are a few photos taken over the weekend (in the daylight). Prepare to swoon: Snoop wanted "in" on the photoshoot too... Playing with Uncle Comet (yay, at last): Jenny kindly sent him some PJs for the cold nights, but he was having none of it. So, I made him some using a £4.50 blanket from Sainsbury's. The proportions are not quite right and they are [deliberately] far too big for him, but he does look cute and they will keep him warm during these freezing cold nights: They are are modelled off some I bought for Comet & Snoop. The tiny set at the bottom are the ones from Jenny:

Gorgeous pup. The PJs from Jenny look like they would just about fit around his head! Not such a tiny pup. Bet he looks minute next to Uncle Snoop.

His very handsome . I wonder if he will be like Jake ( brindle Bobbys brother ). He was quite a bit shorter than his brother but a nice chunky frame. Well done for fostering him looks like he is having a fab time X.

Well done on the needlework too...not easy fitting a wiggly pupster.

Hi I can take him. I think that if he was taken around town in lewes you would have hundreds of applications on the same day. Please send me a foster form.

Hi I can take him. I think that if he was taken around town in lewes you would have hundreds of applications on the same day. Please send me a foster form. I'm sure he would do that anywhere, he's lovely! What we want though, is applications from people who are serious about giving a forever home. Jake has a foster home with Steffan so we're looking for his forever home. For fostering I think you'll need to fill out the adoption application form (on the main web page www.southernlurcherrescue.org.uk/needinghomes.php#future scroll down and you'll find it and then send it to Jenny who's forum name is Mimsmum. ETA: Specify on the form if your offer is for fostering. Also ETA: Ah, you're the lady who introduced herself on the other thread who would like to foster.
