Reading Lilly's updates warms my heart Philippa She has clearly settled so well with you and Zephyr and the regular, non-confrontational socialising with other dogs is really enabling her to feel more and more confident. Everything here crossed that Lilly's Forever Home comes along very, very soon.

I'd like to give lovely Lily a bit of a plug as she was brilliant on todays SLR walk. A good sized group of hounds of all sizes and temperaments, and she was running around, doing a fair bit of muzzle-skidding and rolling in the cow poo grass and having a jolly whale of a time. So happy, very good recall and no issues with any other dogs. She needs another dog in the home, but that's not a big ask (one lurcher just isn't enough, is it!?)

She was such a good girl this morning - very pleased with her. She has some of my left over lunch ham for her tea - and, of course, Ian's liver cake treats over the next few days as a reward. She seems to have 'shed' most of the muck she collected on the walk!

Lily really is a perfect little girl. (apart from the little bit of poo-rolling.)

She doesn't really need a muzzle (as I am sure my fellow walkers would attest to) but as it was her first communal walk and we were in a wood, I decided to be safe. Thank you so much for some lovely pics Ian.

Thank you so much for some lovely pics Ian. Absolutely...I was going to say she didn't need the muzzle..but a sensible precaution with unknown (and some reactive) dogs and a new environment. I generally refrain from commenting on foster dogs threads unless I've actually met them..and I'd say this is one girl that I'd happily give a home to (if I was allowed to).

Lilly has enjoyed her Christmas although she was a bit anxious when we went to my sister's for the day that I was going to leave her. She has got a lot more confident and rushes up to all the treat carriers on our regular walks, greeting other dogs nicely and responding to my calls to leave if required. She is very keen to get Zephyr to play running with her and will bark at him - we are working on getting her to keep quiet when told.
She is calm around the house except when greeting you on return from a trip out. Then she whirls and wags for England. She has a very sweet nature that wants to please and provided she gets a strong, confident pack leader, reassurance when needed and not too much drama, she is a happy and easy to manage little hound.

OMG!! I'm so pleased, we were just discussing Lily today, completely bemused by the lack of interest in this lovely girl...another one I would have if I was allowed (so that would be Lily, Grace, Harley and Oliver....I'd have had Flo too but she's already home).

I guessed it would just be a matter of time before we heard the knocking. She's a lucky girl for sure!
