I met Lily on our Bramshill walk at the weekend and she really is a lovely little girl. She's doing really well with Philippa and Zephyr and will make someone a loving and loyal companion

She really is a lovely little girl. You can see how happy she is and enjoying herself, but she has to occasionally check to see where you are. All good signs of her very good recall. Anyone would be hard-pressed to find any faults with this lovely, gentle girl.

She is a goood girl. Has really settled well. We went to Greenham on Friday for a walk with Crusty and Trumpet (Zephyr's litter mate). She had so much fun and adored Trumpet. I do have video but will have to get it off my phone. She is much more relaxed - runs over if she recognises the dog or human which so lovely to see compared to her 'tail under, timid' behaviour when she initially arrived. Loves her food and treats - she always tells me if its time to fill her tum Running - she prefers chasing Zephyr rather than be chased Playful - she will hare over to a dog at top speed but always slows down by the time she arrives. She likes a game but I haven't seen any sign any of the mouthing that lurchers are prone to. I can cal her off if I need to and if a dog tells her no, she immediately withdraws. Sleeps well - always heads to her crate to rest Affectionate - likes to come over for a cuddle Talkative - not by any means all the time but barks when excited (someone at door, time to go out), whines when she wants something and does that talky, whiny, growly bark when she is talking to you. Loves a roll, especially when wearing her Adopt Me coat but any dirt disappears of its own accord quite quickly

Lilly continues to be a pleasure to have around.
She enjoys getting out for her walks and loves our local forest, she is getting quite confident but her recall is excellent and she comes back when called.
Once home she likes nothing more than to get her after walk treat and then have a snooze on the sofa until its time for another little stroll late afternoon.
Yesterday afternoon, the dogs and I went up to meet for friends at our local pub. Lilly behaved impeccably - confidently getting fusses from all the people and then lying quietly under the table.
What a sweet girl she is!

Lovely update, Philippa. Lily has made so much progress. What a great companion she will make, confident and friendly, with good recall and easy to live with.

Lily is such a lovely little girl. There's no sign of any of the issues that she was supposed to have and her time with you has really helped her gain in confidence. She'll make the ideal companion for someone. Let's hope they come along before too long

Lilly enjoyed her walk with Bertie and Oliver at the weekend but was showing her timid side.
This morning she was bounding around all over the place, barking at Zephyr to try and get him to play chase but I have noticed that sometimes she is a bit subdued and sticks close to me. I have worked out it is when she can hear shooting - we have quite a few estates (country) around us and the sound of distant gun shots (pheasant shooting not criminals) is quite common especially at the weekend. Hopefully, she will get more used to it and less worried.
She continues to be a sweetie. She does bark sometimes but mainly when she is excited - out on a walk or when someone comes to the door - but I don't think it is territorial or fear based.
Her recall is fine but once she is in chase mode (play) it isn't immediate. I obviously shouted a bit loud the other day to call her off and she came back and was very anxious that she had been naughty. I reassured her and she was fine but she is sensitive so needs gentle handling.
Everyone around here is getting very fond of her and she is gaining so much confidence from meeting lots of dogs and people.

she really has grown in confidence and I agree with Philippa that she would be best placed with another dog that would help her maintain that confidence. She's a happy little girl and will make a very loving addition to that special home

Great updates on this gorgeous girl. Her confidence seems to have come on in leaps and bounds since being with Phillipa and meeting so many hounds.

Lilly is such a happy girl. She greets me every morning with a very excited dance that includes - Licking the tips pf my fingers
- Turning in circles
- Wagging her tail - up, down and round and round
We then head into the kitchen for brekkie - she likes it best when I do a bit gravy for her kibble. An hour or so's kip before heading out for walk. As soon as she has done her business, she likes to have a big run. Then she likes to have a few rolls - which she does from a standing start almost falling on her side in her excitement. Then off, trying to get Zephyr or any other dog to play, zoom, or beg treats from passing pockets.
She loves her after walk treat and her before bed time dentastix but her favourite is my dinner leftovers.
This dog loves life and lives it to the full whether it is snoozing on the sofa, out and about meeting other dogs and people or enjoying whatever is put in her bowl.
She still occasionally shows her timid side - when she can hear shooting in the distance and she is cautious when she meets new people but not overly scared. I also need to be careful when correcting her behaviour as she is easily cowed.
She is even beginning to charm Zephyr and jumped on the sofa next to him today - he looked at bit non-plussed but let her stay.
