It does upset me but at least Sniffy is coming into a stable loving home and not kennels..they do their best but most would agree kennels are not ideal. Yup - the SLR way has to be the best. It sure is Barney The best rescue there is Sniffy looks like she's really enjoying herself Sent from my Kestrel using proboards

Wow, what a beautiful, level girl. She is coming across as perfect.
I am sure some lucky person will snap her up soon.

I must say she is practically perfect, ok, she will raid a bin or nick something from the counter top and unmake your bed but that's it... I'm still waiting for her to become a minx but until then I'll enjoy living with Mary Poppins of the dog world

A little update on sniffy. Following her 'lady op' she has healed well. When i think it's only two weeks today that we actually received her into our care she has coped amazingly well. Sniffy remains a sweet natured girl. She is coming in the lounge more to sit with either me or Neil. Initially she hid under her covers in her crate or under my duvet. She will 'talk' to you if she wants ear ruffles but will stop if you ignore her. Everywhere we go people want to say hello to her, she engages people beautifully. She loves other dogs to play with, her manners are impeccable. Sniffy has been a pickle with eating since her op but has started eating fine this past two days. So there are no 'bad behaviours' appearing. We have left her for up to 2 hours quite happily with no signs of SA. She sleeps in her crate at night, going in independantly, she likes being covered up All in all a real delight. ♡♡♡♡

It seems Sniffy has worked some magic Hee hee hee....we met someone yesterday. ETA: To avoid any wrong conclusions, Andrew says two is enough so I don't mean that we met Sniffy. Gawd, trying to be cryptic can get me into trouble!

Sniffy has been here just over two weeks. She has really started to show her true character. All I can say is, SHE'S ADORABLE!! Tonight she drew Betsy in to playing. Betsy was a very damaged dog, following 4 years in kennels as a racer, then 3 more years mostly crated being breed from. We've treasured her for 18 months now and she has really grown in confidence, but to see her running around the garden, engaging in play with Sniffy was such a beautiful moment. Sniffy is very funny, she moves fairly large cushions to make a den for herself, walks under Jethro to get closer to me for cuddles, pokes you to 'remind' you to smooth her! Snuggles up, talks to you and is a sheer joy. I will be very sad to see her go but I know she will be cherished where she is going and I hope to hear how she works her magic on her new playmate/houndsister.

Isn't it amazing how one dog can have such a profound effect on those around him/her? I always thought that Kodi had no idea how to play racey-chasey - until Hamish came along and pestered him into a game. Sounds like Sniffy is cut from the same cloth. Really hope all goes well with her new family.

Just what the other 'dog' where she's going needs.
