Poor Freddy he's a infection in his jaw, well the muscles in his face, he has a temperature of 39 and conjunctivitis in one eye. He is eating and drinking but is feeling very sorry for himself. He is curling up on the sofa or in his cage. I'm sure that some healing vibes will aid his speedy recovery.

No idea how he got it. Vet said to wait a few days and see how he goes. If no better they will sedate him and investigate.

Poor Freddy in a state when he should be enjoying plaster free life. I wonder if the conjunctivitis in one eye is also the infection in his face due to the way the body drains fluids away. I had it many years ago and you have to so careful of cross infection and it's painful.
The first holiday cottage we took our little Mia to in Somerset she ended up with it but the vet who treated her was a Homeopathic one (which Philip doesn't believe in) but my goodness, her infection went away really quickly.
Really fortunate that Ray hasn't gone away this week after all.

Freddy is a bit more lively today. He struggles to yawn, he sticks out his tongue to stop a full yawn. Still eating and drinking fine. He couldn't eat his dentistix still so I gave him a soft treat instead.

His poor face must be swollen and sore so let's hope it responds to treatment very soon.

Freddy is MUCH better today and back to his cheeky ways. He has had his dentistix today and had no problem eating it. Finished his antibiotics today, also his eye is all better too. Since he had his X-ray we have been dying to let him off his lead, but since we don't have any fully enclosed areas have been a bit nervous. Will he come back or just keep running. Well this afternoon Ray went for it. He was over the park just near us and let him off. At first he didn't realise he was free then when he did he just went for it. He ran down to the bottom , round the kids play area, which is a massive loop. Ray had took treats with him and called him a couple of times but he was a very good boy and came back to him , sat down ready for his treat. Hopefully it wasn't just the first time fluke. He was absolutely knackered !!!!!

Yaaayyyy, so glad that little Freddy is better now and able to have a blast. He will probably go completely spare the first few times he goes offlead, then when he gets used to it and it becomes "old hat" he will calm down a bit (hopefully!)
