I have a figure of eight lead if you want to borrow it ? Sent from my Nexus 7 using proboards That would be great if I could, but I think it may be too big for the little squirt, I was thinking of investing in k9 leader or dog headcollar It fits all sizes ;D Sent from my Nexus 7 using proboards

Wonderful to be able to follow this little girls progress and after hearing from the couple who had adopted Emma I can quite understand how difficult they found walking her. So sad, they were devastated. Let's hope as time goes by, perhaps by the end of the summer they might consider an older, quieter dog. Emma certainly sounds that she's in lurcher heaven now. Nice to see she's on her way to a good home.we fed her on wagg complete kennel and third of a tin of pedigree chum.

I agree with Toni...I think she needs a family with dog savvy children to keep her busy. There's a bright little brain in there so some mentally challenging games needed too. Emma's not your typical 'have a good blast then sleeeeeeeeep' kind of lurcher, and being a baby, she's even more interested in the world around her. I hope this hasn't put you off sandancer, as there's the right kind of hound out there for everyone. x

I am pleased to say that there is definitely a bit of Lurcher in Emma, after our long walk yesterday, she slept all evening Learning bad habits from my three!!! She really is a very sweet little girl xx Not a nasty bone in her little body. She obviously loves children as she made a bee line for my neighbours daughter yesterday and made a real fuss of her. I am afraid to say that like most small dogs she does jump up, but as she is so bright I think this could be easily corrected.

She sure is a little bundle of energy. People amaze me when they think that having a "big" dog like a greyhound will be too much for them to cope with and go for little dogs who can cause so much trouble and have endless energy. The lovely Greys love their walks, food and a really soft warm bed and are usually nil probs.

She's certainly settled in well with your pack Toni. I love the shot of her looking out the window. Another example of how important it is for dogs to be part of a pack. They may learn some bad habits from the others but they also learn the good ones and the rest of the pack will keep her in line with the way of life they are used to. I hope you're enjoying having this sweet little girl stay with you

I have a hound size dogmatic head collar (size 2) here but don't know if it would be too big. Thank you Heather that would have been great, but will definitely be too big.

If you need to buy one Toni invoice the rescue. The harness is definitely a no go for a puller. The halti will be better. x

She was actually a bit better this morning, still work in progress though.

See? This is why I call you 'the mad, blonde woman'. Who else would be brave/stupid enough to let their newbie foster off lead on day 3 (and a half)!! It took months before I let Greta off lead anywhere other than the WTR secure field. WTG Emma...really pleased she's turning out to be such a good little girlie. Give her a from me please Toni. xxx You need to facilitate some more meets with Uncle Terry.

No Daisydip.my first foster scamp, made a bid for freedom 7.30 christmas morning and crossed the duel carriage way 4 times he was having such fun , ignoring our calls, husband with man flu was livid as we had family staying from lunchtime, stress factor through the roof . Managed to rugby tackle him 2 hours later, he didn't give a s--t and came home without a care in the world. This is the first time I've told anyone not even his adopted slaves!!!
