Shame it didn't work out in his new home. Thanks for taking him in Sal. I'm assuming this is a fostering situation....... ?

Well, well Little Sal, another playmate for Phoebe. She might, just might leave your wallpaper alone now, oh and I think you need a bigger car

I don't know why, there's just something special about him. Some while ago when we were undecided about going up to four dogs we looked at Harley's thread a few times and ummed and ahhed about what to do. There certainly is Sal, we saw it too. Almost like he's been waiting for you to notice him....

Sorry I haven't posted the pics yet but suffice to say all is harmonious in the Hunter household tonight. The three youngsters have run themselves ragged in the garden today, Harley tucked in to his tea, has wandered about the house with various toys in his mouth and done two roaches one with his head on my feet so what more could we ask for on his first night. Phoebe has stuck to him like glue today in seventh heaven with a new play mate. I think Kali gave a few "hoorays" too at the break from Phoebs constant "play with me play with me" as I spied her tossing toys around inside while P and H dashed about in the garden. It's so quiet and peaceful tonight you wouldn't know there was one let alone five hounds here. He's such a lovely waggy tailed kissy boy. Always wanted a Harley (Davidson) for Christmas

His Mohawk is ace. He's a proper punk rocker.

It's a real shame it didn't work out for Harley, but good news that he's having fun and enjoying himself with Sal and her pack. The photos are brilliant!

Harley's first 24 hours here couldn't have been better. He settled down to sleep in my craft room with Abi for company and there he stayed all night til a little whine about 5am to go out for a pee. I came down to him and Phoebe standing at the bottom of the stairs (blocked off by a stair gate) both frantically wagging tails and eager to give my face the first 20 washings it apparently needed of the day . Once relieved he settled back down again til I came down to make the tea about 7am. Those big brown eyes gazed up and looked to the closed stair gate when he heard Tim upstairs. Allowing the dogs up there isn't something we do as a rule but Phoebe soon broke that one and now Harley has too. Oooops. He bounded on to our bed and snuggled in for a doze and a roach like he'd always done it. He looked so relaxed bless him and lay with his paws across my feet and his head leant up against me. Just adorable Phoebe was the next to visit the upstairs level and with great excitement at seeing Harley there too leapt on to the bed and proceeded to have a bit of love-in stretched out alongside Harley who had now made himself comfy across Tim's legs. Tim on the other hand wasn't so comfy with two lurchers using him as a duvet but you know what it's like...their comfort comes first. He really is such a soft affectionate playful boy with the waggiest tail. He's quite talky too making a variety of funny noises. He looks much more settled today and we've had no pacing whereas yesterday there was for awhile. He does like to know where we all are, either that or he doesn't like closed doors because for example if Tim is in his office working with the door closed Harley whines and walks about looking a bit concerned. That said though he does take himself off to any of the rooms here and has a sleep or a play either with one of the girls for company or not. I'll 'paws' the waffle and post some pics... Phoebe was his constant companion yesterday.. The garden is taking a pounding with an extra set of paws tearing around but the additional exercise will do him good. He's 28kg with his bones well covered so a bit of weight loss won't go amiss. Lovely boy Looking a little unsure bless him..or thinking "blimey we've made a mess of that garden!" All zonked out after a day of tearing around... Our Sunday morning snuggle... Looks like he's always been there.. This morning was all about play play play toys toys toys bark bark bark. It was barely light and Phoebe and Harley were outside playing ''who can do the lowest play bow" and then proceeded to help themselves to toys and balls and have a wonderful time tearing about the garden with them. The barking came about when Phoebe was later playing bitey-face with Kali...Harley would bark at them and Phoebe would then stop playing with Kali and run off outside with Harley. She would then come back and resume with Kali and Harley would bark again and do the same over and over. Yeah lovely quiet game that one! Basically Harley barks and Phoebe comes running. It kept her busy running between the two of them. What a noise when they all started playing and barking Apologies to our neighbours. A video clip of play time although they'd practically tired themselves out by now.. The teddy bear and the mohican all set for walkies.. We took the three lurchers to the arboretum and Tall Trees Trail near Brockenhurst for a long walk today. Harley got in the car without any bribery. He didn't settle too well only laying down or sitting for short periods and panted a lot but wasn't ill on the journey. He barked at an excited approaching dog on the walk but in no way was he aggressive. He was nervous of a man that wanted to stroke him and of a push chair going by but happy to be out and about exploring. He is strong on the lead but not so that you're being pulled along, he's just keen to know what's out there and sniff those sniffs The walk did the three of them good because they've been crashed out fast asleep ever since we got home. No doubt energy levels will be fully restored before long

Great pictures again Sally. Phoebe's tail has a life of it's own. Little Harvey sounds a perfect boy, he is so beautiful. I'm surprised they need walking after all that running around. What do the Lavender ladies think of him?
