Well Poppy is absolutely fearless. Happy to play with Zephyr and if I stop him because he gets a bit full on - she immediately takes advantage of the situation and goes straight back in for more. So could happily be homed with a boisterous other dog.
I used a harness on her walk this morning - as she was really kangarooing yesterday - and it was much better. Once again, very good behaviour with all dogs and people she met. I took her into the secure basketball court to see what her recall was like - it is not completely non-existent but she is quite likely to over shoot you (accidentally on purpose). She likes a ball but seems to prefer to carry it rather than bring it back to you for another throw.
She is very sweet but not a pushover - she definitely has a mind of her own.
Sorry no pics yet - difficult to take any with her on the lead. I'll try when she has her playdate at my friends secure paddock with the lovely Crusty (who also entertained Lulu a couple of times).

Took Poppy up to a local agility event this morning to see how she reacted. She was a bit unsure at first - tail slightly between legs but within a few minutes she relaxed and started enjoying the sights and smells. She watched the other dogs going round the courses with her ears pricked but not trying to get to them - whether she wanted to join in or was just interested in the movement I am not sure - but I think she could do agility with a new owner if they were interested. She is certainly athletic enough.

Poppy is very lovely and is very popular - not just with Zephyr who has grown very fond of her. They play together for ages - and sometimes Zephyr even initiates it. She is booked in to be spayed on Monday so will be staying here with me nad Zephyr for a bit longer than originally planned. Yesterday she had her play date with Crusty in my friends enclosed paddock - and she made the most of it. She is very fast and very agile - and very brave too. I have video which I will put up later. She saw horses - small bark and run away - and llamas - pricked ears but no desire to get to them. She has been invited back so made a good impression. This morning on our walk she met a very young pup (wait for it - staffie x chihuahua x shi tzu x jack russell). Very tiny and Poppy was on the lead but no sign of nipping or any negative behaviour. She just sniffed him and wanted to play (as did he). We have yet to meet a dog (and we see lots) where she hasn't managed to charm them, whatever size, breed or personality.

She's home but very quiet. She has just moved into the patch of sun. Check up a week today - 14 days lead walking.

Bless her. I think 14 days is optimistic! Little Willow here is flying at the end of the lead 9 days later!
