This little boy is a superstar. Collected him from Christine at All About Dogs. He coped brilliantly with the fair, all the people and other dogs and did some very good PR for the rescue. Lots of people stopped to fuss him and most fell in love with him. Absolutely no issue with any of it. Although, very tired by the time we left. Once he got his second wind, he tried to coax Zephyr to play earlier but then thought better of it when he succeeded. He is snoozing by my side now after his dinner.

He's an absolute poppet and I bet Zephyr will enjoy his company for the night. After 1 night my 3 were wanting to play but Bruno was a bit unsure - he kept trying to play but got overwhelmed very easily. The poor little man is desperate to play but still too bewildered to respond. If it wasn't just me here I would snap this little boy up without any hesitation. I'm already missing him

Little man slept in the sitting room with Zephyr last night. Whined and cried for about 10 -15 minutes (which I ignored) and then he settled until the next morning without a peep. He has a new red (leather hound) colour that my sister wanted to buy him at the show yesterday. He also got a rosette and a certificate from the puppy class (but he lost out on winning to a brown lab puppy).

I just got back from meeting with Phillipa for a walk with the dogs and to pick up Bruno so that I could take him to meet up with Gaby, his new foster mum. He's such an adorable little pup. I was late getting to the meeting with Gaby because so many people wanted to say hello to Bruno while we were out walking. It was hard to say goodbye to him, especially when he gave me a lovely snuggle as I was wishing him well... this one took another bit of my heart with him. He's now with his new foster family... along with his lovely new red leather collar (thanks to Phillipa's sister!), Rosette and Certificate from the dog show, and some treats that he won on the tombola! Gaby will post some photos soon. I'm sure it won't be too long before someone snaps up this gorgeous little boy.

He is such a sweetie. Have fun with him Gaby.
Good luck in your foster home Bruno. The way you charmed everyone you met in the brief time you were with me, I don't think it will be long before you have your forever family.

Lovely photos Gaby! It's great to see him settling in so well. I've no doubt you're going to enjoy this little man and he's going to learn so much about what a loving family is like. Looking forward to more photos and your updates. Be happy little Bruno xxx

Not surprised to see him making himself comfortable on the furniture. He is a confident, well adjusted little lad who will make a brilliant companion for some lucky family. Thanks for the pics, Gaby.

Reminds me a little of Sue's Robbie. Just saw this thread and thought the same Jules, if he is anything like my Robbie in nature too then he will be a right softie, gorgoeous boy Bruno xxx

Just another quick update - Bruno had his first jabs and microchip done yesterday and was great at the vets - he sat as close as he could to me the whole time we were waiting and enjoyed being stroked by the children next to me. We have been amazed with how good he is at night - not a peep, no crying, and he hasn't even wanted to go out during the night. He has had some vivid dreams and woken himself up with a bark a couple of times! He is also a real softie and loves a good tummy rub. He is starting to relax a lot more and after a good run about in the garden he is happy to embrace his inner couch potato during the day, even happily snoozing in a different room from me. He is perfectly house trained and so good-natured: very accepting and friendly towards everyone. He is very clever and receptive to training, he is 90% there with 'sit' already... anything for ham! Living with Monty who is a bit of a grumpy grandad greyhound I didn't realise how fun it would be having a playful puppy around! When Bruno plays he is inquisitive and energetic but light on his feet and very gentle, and totally hilarious falling over himself, chasing his tail and skidding around. I am used to just being charged at at 30 mph so it makes a nice change... Here is a picture of him helping around the house this morning:
