Oh he is doing great! He enjoyed having a good run around in the garden with Leo, a visiting whippet, yesterday, and he has taken himself off upstairs to recover for most of the day today. He is now really happy snoozing on his own, sitting watching the world go by through a window, or lying in the garden with a squeaky toy. But his favourite thing is playing with other dogs (or people!). Monty (his greyhound housemate) doesn't really enjoy playing too much so it would be lovely for him to have a more willing companion. He has been full of the joys of spring, leaping through grass and exploring the fields - http://instagram.com/p/nLkaQimUOn He is still very happy go lucky and good natured - he just needs to learn to channel his enthusiasm sometimes! Sitting is his only 'trick' so far so whenever he wants to please you he will try that to see if it's what you wanted

Thanks Gaby. He really is a sweetie - love the image of him sitting to see if that is what you want. Give him a big fuss and from me and Zephyr (and my sister who was rather taken with him at All About Dogs).

Thanks for the update Gaby. He is so sweet and it sounds like he's having a fun and happy time with you. Let's hope it's not too long before he finds a forever home. If it wasn't just me here I would snap him up, no question. Give him hugs from me too!

Hi We lost our Saluki x lurcher on Xmas Eve last year and are looking for a new lurcher to bet friend our whippet lurcher and fit into our family. We have a 3 year old and a 6 year old... Is Bruno still looking for a forever family? And do you think he would be good with children? We are hoping to rescue with SLR so are currently searching for our next pooch to love. X

If you get in touch with Jenny at jenny@southernlurcherrescue.org.uk or send her a Personal Message via this Forum - see the "Messages" tab above. Jenny will be able to advise you about Bruno. I did a transport run with Bruno and he stayed the night with me. I have an 11-year old neighbour who loves my dogs and she comes to see them almost every day. Bruno was very happy with her and all the cuddles she gave him.

Thanks very much for the speedy reply. I have sent Jenny an email today. Bruno looks fantastic. The same colouring as Jasper. I will send Jenny a message on here too. Hope to hear from her soon. Really hoping to find out more info on Bruno. Eeeek....I am probably getting a little excited! X

He's a great little chap. We did an exchange at All About Dogs and he was happy as a clam spending a few hours greeting all the people and dogs there. You will need to complete an adoption application form, which is available here www.southernlurcherrescue.org.uk/needinghomes.php . Good luck.

Sadly the applicant we had him reserved for, kept him waiting nearly two weeks with a few excuses as to why he couldn't visit, and on the day of the visit could not visit He has since disappeared into thin air leaving Bruno back to square one. This is one lovely dog and he will get the best home. x

The applicant's loss - whoever gets this lad will be very lucky. He is an absolute star.

Hi Does this mean that Bruno is available for homing again or has he been snapped up. We have a two year old lurcher and a cat who I think Bruno would be happy with!
