I can't tell you how happy we both are that Dolly has settled in so quickly and so well and as to being ok at the show, well that really really surprised me. Just goes to show how secure she must feel with you. Whatever magic you are working on her, just keep it up, its working a treat. So happy for you. ;D Jean has told it as it is Laurie - Dolly arrived at the fete a poor nervous bundle, obviously frightened by new sights, sounds & people, but as the day unfolded it was a real pleasure to see her visibly relax.
Rest assured, (though you probably don't need telling!), that Dolly has gone to her best possible forever home, & will flourish with all Jean's TLC, patience, & love.

Thats so interesting, Jules. Dolly particularly used to run with Chas in the garden and get him to play. I think she likes a big bull boy and seeing Sykes must have made her really happy! I think it is just fantastic how she has come out of her shell.

Barney xI couldn't be more happy Barney to hear how Dolly is flourishing under Jean. We both had such a good gut feeling about Jean and everything I hear has just borne this out. Ed and I are over the moon for Dolly.

Thanks for posting the pictures of our day out Jules, I don't know why Belle has to rest her head on Dolly's back she did a couple of times yesterday I hope its not a dominance thing. The only other dog I have seen her do it to is Carole's lovely greyhound Jack. Maybe the greyhounds are just the right height for a head rest ;D

Jean, our Fern rests her head on any dog she can get near to and Fern is def. not a dominant bitch, so I think you are all right there. I thought it looked really cute

Dolly had her first visitors today in the form of my daughter, granddaughter, and grandson. Also Archie the Bichon pup. We sat in the garden until Dolly was ready to meet people and in her own time she come up for a fuss from them one by one. But she chose to stay in the garden most of the time they were here, if she is happy with that its fine by me. She was as good as gold with Archie the pup, can't say I was to impressed with him as he wet on two of their beds. After lunch we all set of for a walk, I think Dolly just wished she could be free with them may be one day.The have gone home now and I am on the PC Belle is on the sofa asleep behind me and I am pleased to say Dolly is asleep on the floor next to me. Its the first time she has been happy enough to come in here with us and settle for a sleep. So things are looking up.

Warms my heart it does Jean to see her being so good in all these new situations. Getting better day by day. I am more than pleased. So well done, Jean.
