SHEBA - Young Lurcher Pup - all white - REHOMED

Sheba has come into the Rescue through holding kennels.
She was originally rehomed through the holding kennels, but it didn't work out for her and the family dogs rejected her.
She was then re-homed but has been picked up as a stray a few times so was returned to the kennels through the Dog Warden.
She has had some burns on the ends of her ears, but they are now scabbed over.
Sheba is being fostered on the Isle of Wight with two Lurchers girlies. She will be assessed by her foster family over the next week or so. I'll leave her foster mum to do the intros.

Hand over piccies. Met up with Romi to hand over little Kia to Fran. Very wet AGAIN!!! and muddy. Photos before she got dirty. She's a pretty little lass, few scars on her ears and face but a lovely, snuggly white coat and very confident and friendly. Good luck Fran, you've got a little beauty there. - Sue x

I had the lovely job of getting this one out of the kennels and she is gorgeous. A real bright spark.

Sheba has landed on the Isle of Wight
She's a beautiful friendly pupster
Quite stressed ATM but has eaten well & not too fast & doesn't appear to be food aggressive

She's explored the house, ground floor only, & garden & played with some toys & Isla ;D ;D Willow & Tiny are ignoring her.

She's not quite as white as she was earlier owing to the amount of mud at Manor Farm

Her ears aren't too bad - almost healed & just the very tips missing the scars on her face do look deliberate but hopefully they will fade a bit more in time
She looks a bit skinny & flat footed but I hope that will soon improve
Off to the vet tomorrow for a check up & 2nd vax

Thanks for the update Fran. Poor little mite. I am sure those v's on the end of her ears are traveller markings. But she has done her time so she is safe.

Sheba had a good night slept from 12 to about 6.30 a bit unsettled to start - not keen on her crate but only yelled for about 10 minutes She's very whiney when she can't see her hoomans

She had her 2nd vax this morning & I think the whole Island heard all about it She really can make a racket ;D ;D ;D

She was a very good girl & was very friendly & waggy to everyone
We met a rather tubby but friendly spaniel which made her look even skinnier & a cat in a basket that hissed at her & she backed off

She weighs 15.4 kgs vet says about 2kgs underweight
Skin condition is a bit flaky etc & some baldy reddish patches - could be due to various things but suggested Advocate to start

Ears healing well but mucky - will be sorted later today
Nose/face could be flea/mite irritation or just rubbing when in kennels - scar on nose healing well
Teeth some tartar already
Vet has advised not to spay until 3 months after her season

She's a lovely friendly little girl. She travelled very well with me and I hardly knew she was there.
I noticed her little flat feet too, but hopefully they'll sort themselves out as she grows.
Looks like she's having a great time already with your lot Fran. ;D

Oh Fran you lucky lady .... she's GORGEOUS . Poor lass having been bumped around and straying so much . The tips of her ears are just like Suki's and we know she was passed on by travellers. She was quite sensitive about where they'd been 'nicked' but they've healed fine.

Just a quick update
Sheba doesn't appear to have had any training at all
No idea about house training but is really improving today
Is beginning to get the hang of 'no' & 'leave' ;D Will sit for a treat but not for long
Eats in kitchen alongside the others - no aggression to hoomans but will growl a bit if another dog comes too close (but doesn't stop eating or lift her head :

She had her chip inserted today & after yesterdays performance with her vax I expected nothing short of hysterics All we got was a small squeak

She's going for a nice bath & pampering tomorrow

I don't think this lass has had a lot of love she wants constant human company (even yells when you go to the bathroom : loves cuddles & fuss but if you move fast she shies away

She's had a trip out to the beauty parlour this morning for a pampering bath & much needed ear & teeth cleaning
They all think she's lovely & have promised to pass the word about SLR ;D ;D ;D
