I forgot the camera this morning, but this little girlie was a poppet. She was off lead a couple of times during the walk, and Ripley was on lead. He is a bit of a bull in a China shop with her. But she loved it. She's such a quiet little poppet. I love her to bits.

I was in shock this morning when we got up to a dry and clean kitchen floor!!! Admittedly we were up pretty early but that is pretty good for such a youngster. She has also just had a little cry and run to the back door so I think she is getting the message.
We have had a lovely morning walk and she had a blast. She seems to love water which is unusual for a greyhound! A patch in the meadow has been flooded by all the rain and she had a great game dashing backwards and forwards through it. Needless to say both her and her smart little yellow coat were soaked. I have been practising recall with her and she is pretty good. I think our two help as well.
Travelling in the car is coming on well. She only sang to me a couple of times then settled nicely.
This little girl is just a dream.

Well, this little lady continues to blossom and seems well settled now. Eating very well, sleeping well at night and the rest of the time is spent bouncing around, playing with her toys or playing with Alice who seems to have accepted her now. Archie, on the other hand, does not like her at all which is such a shame as she desperately wants to play with him. Maybe he will come round given time Here is the little darling patiently watching foster daddy baking bread...

Just caught up with Anna's thread and, oh my, what a beautiful little girl she is! I love her unusual markings on her coat, they look like tiny snowflakes dancing over her coat, how pretty!! You are doing a lovely job with her, Judy. And you are such a good little girl for your foster mummy, little flakey Anna Viviane. X

I'm with Sandra77 - being new to the forum each time I login I am in tears (either of joy or hearbroken) Its so awesome how everyone looks after these babies. I am living in hope that we can get our two chavvy greyhound teenagers socialised so that we will be able to offer fostering at a later date.

Every new adopter and every foster has little doubts when they take on a new dog. Ask any of the Fosters on here, that the day or even hour before the new Foster arrives they have their heart in their mouth and fingers crossed. It's quite normal.

I've only fostered twice and both times I've been very excited about them coming here but also quite nervous as to how our two would react. Alice is no problem. Archie is a grump. He didn't like little George when he came here but did warm to him by the time he went to his new home!! Archie and Anna have just been sharing the settee so that's progress....after a week!!
