Poor Pearl. She is a lovely girl who through no fault of her own has found herself home alone. Her elderly owner died over a year ago leaving her with his wife who was also frail. The wife has now had to go into a nursing home, and for the last six weeks Pearl has been home alone with neighbours popping in to feed her and walk her. The neighbours would dearly like to have her but they have a cat and Pearl is not cat friendly. She has hardly been out since her mum went into care and is being left night and day. We are bringing her into the Rescue for fostering tomorrow and will be transporting poor Pearl from Essex down to Hampshire to her new foster home. If there is anyone in Essex, who would be able to give this lovely doglet another 5/6 years of love and some fun in the outside world please get in touch. She is 9, not neutered at the moment but will be thoroughly health checked and neutered by the Rescue. Her vaccinations are up to date. She is small and other dog friendly, but can bark at other dogs she doesn't know when on lead walking, but wags with it. She pulls a little, but then who wouldn't if they hadn't got to go out much.

Pearl looks and sounds like a lovely girl, she really, really reminds us of our Toby same shape, same eyes and expression and even the same little white around the face, she is just gorgeous, hope she isn't waiting too long for somewhere to be spoilt and adored during her golden years, so sad for her family and her

Pearl arrived with Jules around 11 a.m. She is an absolute poppet, serene and petite. I wish I could fail. I am in love. But this little girlie needs a quieter environment than we can offer here with poopie mouth mouth, and Ronnie 60 mile a minute vroom vroom, and Milo mouth. She sat by the door when Jules went waiting for her return. Then realised she wasn't coming back She then explored the garden, before saying hello to the gang. And then found a cosy place to have a lie down She is an absolute poppet. I am so pleased that she is going down to Joy for fostering. She will love the sea and the quieter housemates. Whoever gets to spend the last 6/9 years with this little lass will be very lucky. She has been loved since she was an 8 week old puppy and is so level.

What a lovely little girl Pearl is! I'm sure she is going to get on very well with Joy's Bonnie and Sam. Hope everything goes well with her transport. Viviane. X

Do you think Bonnie will be able to know who is who!

Pearley is a poppet. She was a very good girl in the car with me and Sykes (who liked her, and was very respectful of her). She lay quietly on the back seat and watched the world go by. She's much more delicate and "girly" - Girly Pearly maybe? - than she appears in photos (little Sui's car harness fit her), not a lot bigger than Esme really. According to Stacey, who looked after her over the weekend, she has been very clean in the house and doesn't seem to have much of a prey-drive. Pearley has been well-loved and well looked after. All this must be a huge change for her; it would be lovely to get her happily settled once more.

Do you think Bonnie will be able to know who is who! Wicklow Hill Hounds might not be the brightest stars in the universe where brainpower's concerned Joy, (witness my Annie! ), but even so I'm sure that Bonnie will find it well within her capabilities to distinguish between Sam & Pearl!! ;D
Enjoy your latest fostering venture.

Bonnie is very bright and seems to mother the fosters the same as Winnie. She dosn't bother mothering Sam just treats him like her fella. I am sure they will take care of Pearly. They have checked her bed out already.

So Bonnie and Sam already know that "something" is going on, Joy! ;D Knowing your two and what they are like, I bet they will look after Pearly very well. Look forward to seeing the first piccies after her arrival with you. Viviane. X

She's nearly there. I met up with Mark at Junction 6 at just before 7.45 p.m. Another horrendous cross country journey as there was a tailback with the M.25 again Poor Mark has the last leg and he has already done nearly an hour towards me to meet up. She is indeed a poppet and travels so well. I will feel so happy when she is safe and settled with Joy. She needs some tlc and quality peace after putting up with my gang today

She is safe - I wouldn't say settled. However, she has got on her bed (her own blankets) and has actually closed her eyes it is now 11.p.m. and she has examined all the house. She has eaten a bit and also (big job) and lots of pees. I am sure tomorrow will be a lot better for her. It was lovley meeting Mark and he was so "on time". Will obviously keep you updated.

I'm happy to report that Pearl is safely in the capable hands of Joy. Pearl is a sweety and travelled really well. It has been a really long day for her and I hope that she is now settled at home with Joy and Co. She has obviously been very well cared for and loved and I really hope that its not too long before she finds her forever sofa.

Never heard a peep out of her all night I think she was exhausted with all the trauma yesterday. She is still a bit unsettled but ate a good breakast. Took her out with my two and she was very good on lead. Didn't mind when they were loose just watched them. It's good she brought her own blanket as she goes back to it all the time. Will keep you posted but she is safe and dosn't have any more travelling to-day.

Sandie - Pearly does have a hint of the much-loved Buddy doesn't she? A beautiful girl, so deserving of love; and I do love oldies xx
