We are going to re-home Cassie straight from her own home. with Rescue backup for life. Cassie is a lovable, affectionate and bouncy girlie of approximately 3 years old. Rescued as a small puppy she has been loved by her current mum,and doted on. Sadly, her owner Dad died recently and her current mum is unable to give her the exercise and energy bursts that she needs. This has been a very sad and emotional decision for the family as everyone loves Cassie. But they know that Cassie needs more than they can do for her and are putting Cassie's well-being first. She is neutered, vaxed and will remain chipped to SLR to give her Rescue backup for life. She is good on-lead with her halti gentle leader. Recall is not good and Cassie definitely doesn't like cats. She does like other dogs and loves people, little or big, but it would be better for any possible family that they had older more stable children for Cassie to bounce around with. Cassie can suffer separation anxiety, so someone who is around most of the time and prepared to work on this in the initial stages of her transition to a new home is preferable. (Thanks to Kate Hunter for the beautiful photos and the pre-homing assessment) She is beautiful.

I had the pleasure of being 'bounced' on by this lovely girlie yesterday - she is absolutely stunning .... Just wanted to add that she is scared of other dogs and doesnt like being approached but her owner feels that this might (with a lot of patience and time) be rectified .... it is just fear and not aggression It was so lovely to meet Patricia and i know she just wants the best for Cassie .... A lovely big enclosed garden (due to lack of recall) would be so perfect for her ..... Fingers crossed and i will follow her thread with interest

A beautiful lurcher. Both Chloe and Tia were frightened of other dogs once but they aren't now. Not a difficult problem to overcome if this girl is taken regularly on some of our organised greyhound and lurcher walkies.
A second dog in the house may also bolster her confidence and help prevent separation anxiety.

how very sad and heartbreaking for her family, but being as gorgeous and lovely as she is, hopefully it won't be too long before she finds the perfect home for her, thinking of her family in the difficult situation they are in....
