Thank you so much Jayne for going to assess this girlie and bringing her out to Karla, and thank you Karla for fostering her. She is absolutely beautiful. Said to be good with other dogs and a steady girlie. Age, could be somewhere around 1-3 years I'm sure that Karla will add some better piccies once she has settled in today.

Ok I need some help already please..... how do you stop falling head over heels with a beautiful foster dog called Nelly....?? (joking ) First of all thank you so much Jayne for going to assess Nelly & for arranging everything with getting her out and meeting up to hand her over Mark & I took Vinnie & Dexter with us to meet Jayne & Nelly and even though it was pooring down with rain we had a little walk about to introduce. Even though mr excitabilly Dexter was jumping around and barking at her she wasn't fazed and just took a step back until he got control of himself She then travelled back in the car with the boys good as gold, not a peep out of her, she just snuggled down and slept all the way home. She was greeted by Dylan & Shylo when we got home and they all trotted out into the garden where she happily had a wee and then a good ole sniff about She's had a little play with Dexter & Shylo and although is a little nervous at the moment she certainly knows how to play and I'm sure she's going to be a bundle of fun ;D She's a little on the skinny side and has a few old scars on her legs that look like they could have been quite nasty - I'm guessing these are from where she was worked but all in all she's in pretty good condition. Mark's given her a bath as she stank of the kennels and she was as good as gold. Her teeth need a good clean but they are in pretty good nick. She's had some liver & kibble for tea and she ate her food next to Dylan without a problem and didn't mind me touching her whilst she was eating She is a greedy monkey which is not surprising but she's polite with it and you can take food from her no problem. My gang seem happy enough to have her here and we've not had a single grumble from any of them - in fact I think Dylan quite likes her Anyway, enough waffle here's a few pictures of the gorgeous girl Playing with Dexter Quite hard to tell them apart Having snuggles with Foster daddy Mark Having snuggles with me And finally getting cosy with the gang ;D

Lovely photos Karla It was good to meet you and Mark today, even though the weather was dreadful. I loved the way Nelly just got into the back of your car and settled down as if she'd known you and your dogs for ever - she seems a very laid back and placid girl.

Lovely pics Karla. She certainly seems to have settled in alright, bless her. Lovely tiger coloured brindle isn't she. Sounds like she has a super temperament too. Someone will be very lucky to have her on their permanent sofa.

Thank you so much Karla for taking that unknown step. It is never as bad as we all think. I will put a collar and disc in the post and email you a fostering form. Just repeat after me, I will not fail, I wil not fail. We need all the foster homes we can get.

Karla, I'm swooning. Don't show her to me or I'll fail as a potential foster too. I only just managed to let Colin go. Heeheehee! Your pack looks absolutely gorgeous; just love the way the humans are not allowed to put their feet on the floor! X

Having had this little girl in our home for the last couple of days I can honestly say she is a dream dog She has settled in with our guys so well and is happy to be snuggled up with either another dog a human or by herself, as long as she's comfy she's happy. Her first night was great, she settled down in the dog bed next to our bed on Mark's side and slept straight through until 6.30am and she only got up then because Dylan decided he wanted to go out for a wee so got everyone else up We arranged to met up with Gilly, Jim and their woofers at Bere forest for a walk yesterday morning and she's was as good as gold travelling in the car with the others. She met Ollie, Bodhi, Sammy, Roxy & Daisy (and Gilly & Jim) very politely and happily walked around the forest in a pack of ten dogs. She fabulous on the lead, no pulling or straining to run after the off lead dogs. She is very interested in everything around her though so recall is going to have to be worked on, but I certainly think it will be possible with her. She met a few other dogs and gave no reaction really, she's happy to sniff or be sniffed and there is no pulling to get to them or desire to run after them so I don't see an issue with her living with any other breeds. She wants to meet all humans and get as much fuss as possible though and her little whippy tail wags for Britain if she gets lots of fuss ;D We had a sleep over last night with the Tyler-Mounts so 4 peeps and ten doggies were at our house for the evening and they were all superb. The sun was out so doggie bed were put out in the garden and lots play and sun bathing was enjoyed by all Three brindles together..... Dexter, Bodhi & Little Nell Beautiful Girl With her foster sister Shylo Happy smily girlie Nelly has had a slight name change as every time we called Nelly, Dylan would come running as we call Dylan by Dilly a lot and Nelly is very close to this. So she's now just Nell or Little Nell to make life easier and we think Little Nell suits her perfectly Today we've been up to Manor Farm to give her some off lead time in the enclosed field up there. She had a blast ;D thoroughly enjoying running around with the others She's a definite foodie so we took plenty of treats to practice the recall and she's ok unless she's seen something in the distance. The more time we spend with her the more we think she was worked for sure. She is always on the look out, she's super fast and she stops dead to a strong male voice - she's not scared, just obviously used to being controlled by a man I would say. She's a really good all round dog and would fit into a family as either an only dog or as part of a pack. She's met some children today and happily accepted hugs and strokes from them. She's not snappy or agressive over food, she'll sit for treats and gives lovely kisses, given half the chance she would sit on your lap all day long and be spoilt rotten She's got bags of energy and would need a fairly active lifestyle, I can imagine she'd love being a running partner or doing agility or the like as she's a bright spark too. Whoever is lucky enough to re-home Little Nell will be getting an amazing addition to their family. and Jenny, we promise we will not fail - she's too good a dog not to re-home ;D ;D

Oohh perfick timing ... more piccies and they're great!! Doesn't she look good and right at home already bless her. Love the pics Wouldn't be at all surprised if failure was on the cards but like you say, if she's that good, it would be a shame to not re-home her.

After just spending the last couple of days with Little Nell I can confirm that she is a lovely doggie and possibly 1 kilo under weight but apart from them she is very good condition. She played really well with my JRT's and as Karla said she is happy with all breeds. Looking forward to our next Little Nell fix
