Just in today, so I'll let Christine introduce her to you. Another abandoned. And despite a 7 day notice being served on the microchip address she wasn't claimed. Huge thanks to new transport helper James, and Christine for doing this between them. First photo is one week on... The change having a loving foster home makes eh!?? This photo below is her just before she arrived in the Rescue.

Skye is back here in Berkshire with me and my pack. She's a friendly girl with a very waggly tail! But there's a problem on the horizon... I have a feeling that Alice is going to be blamed for any naughtiness! Thankfully Sky has a white spot on her nose so as long as I can see that I'll know it was her that had got up to any mischief!!!
Here they are in the garden ... can you tell which is which?

OMG! They really are similar aren't they! Totally different coloured collars is the answer. Huge thanks to both Christine and James for helping this lovely girl.

Thank you to James for the transport, and Christine for taking Skye in! She is gorgeous, and as everyone says, she and Alice could indeed be twins. However, I am sure that Alice never gets into trouble, and I'm sure Skye won't either. After we all know how well behaved Saluki's are, sometimes........! x

Sky BlogHello Everyone!
I'm Sky and I'm having such fun in my foster home!
I've been here for 3 days and The Human says I've settled in more quickly than any foster she's had! That makes me feel good. TH says she's really pleased with me and wants me to tell you the good things about me. I feel a bit embarrassed to do this but she says it's important to "sell myself". I'm not sure what that means as I didn't realise I was for sale... oh, hang on, she says I'm not for sale, it's just an expression - whatever that is. She's smiling at me so I guess it's all good.
I went on something called a "socialisation walk" yesterday... it was great! There were lots of dogs there and I really liked walking with them. After the walk we went into this paddock. TH had me on a long lead and walked me around while the other dogs were off the lead. Then, guess what she did! She let go of the lead and let me run and play with the other dogs. It was great fun and all the other dogs were friendly. I was so happy. TH says I'm a confident dog and I learn really quickly. When I first came here I pulled on the lead, but I thought this was what I was supposed to do because nobody had told me I shouldn't. TH has shown me how to walk beside her and it's easy... I like being part of the pack. It was great meeting lots of new people and dogs... I go all wiggly when people stroke me! TH says she's never had a foster with such a waggly tail.
TH did something new today... she hid some treats in the garden and I had to find them. Easy, peasy... I found them all. She says this is a good way for me to "engage" with her... no idea what that means, but if it means a treat or a stroke then I'll look at her and listen.
TH says she can't find anything wrong with me so far, apart from.... wait for it... I'm ashamed to say that I climbed onto the counter in the kitchen and stole some food!!! TH says it may be because I had to fend for myself when I was a stray, but that I mustn't do it. I didn't think she'd know it was me that ate the soup and knocked the dishes over, but apparently I left footprints on the counter and somehow she was able to trace them back to me! Now every time I look like I'm going to put my feet up onto the counter TH says tzzzzzz which makes me jump so I stop. She says I'll get there soon but it's hard not to want to grab food whenever I can.
Here I am roaching when I was lying next to TH... and I bet you'll be impressed with me walking on the lead with my pal, Comet... and I'm looking at TH. I think I deserve a gold star!!!

Footprints on the counter?! Don't tell Monty! He's discovered the delights of standing on the table, that's enough!
