Jobi has had more interest in him than any other dog we have had in. 7 offers of homes and 13 enquiries this week. Make that 14 enquiries now Mummy Chook, (another one received a couple of minutes ago).
Edited to change that to 15! I already had you included in the offers Pixies. We will have to clone him ;D ;D

15 enquiries already .....must be a record!!! Um, 'tis more than that now! Nope - he's such a lovely lad we can't believe anyone letting him go. We have of course searched all the usual places to see if he was reported missing, but no joy, & of course he wasn't microchipped. He certainly will - we've received some very good offers: we just need to ensure that we choose the very best forever home for the boy.

Job and Tag went to the vets together today, and ear licking and sniffing were much in abundance. Jobi is to die for. I still think that I should have fostered him Tag is a poppet though. ;D

My two current fosters a couple of minutes ago:
We've not long been back from PAH, where Jobi weighed in at aound 22.5 Kg, so we're getting there weightwise, even though he doesn't look that much different from when he first came under SLR's wing.

Jobi came with us when I took Winnie to the vets this morning to be speyed, as the lump below his left eye, (which I'd thought was the result of an old injury), had grown palpably larger.
It actually turned out to be caused by an abcess under one of his back teeth.
He's now on ABs & we're going back to the vets on Friday to have the abcess drained.
As I've come to expect from the lad, he was as good as gold at the surgery, never once complaining about being poked & prodded around, bless him.

The swelling has markedly decreased in size now that the ABs have kicked in.
Happily the abcess hasn't stopped Jobi eating, but once 'tis drained tomorrow I wouldn't be at all surprised if his appetite gains a new lease of life, & helps to continue his current weight gaining regime.
His problem certainly hasn't stopped him accepting every treat that's offered!

Jobi has left the building.
The little man is headed for Derbyshire, where, according to Dawn & Nigel who kindly carried out the homecheck for us, he'll be one pampered pooch. ;D
Zoie & Terry, Jobi's new Mum & Dad, are lovely folks, & I have no doubt he'll be spoilt wicked, including spending holidays & every other weekend on their narrowboat .
When we went for a walk I asked if they had changed their minds about taking him on, & the answer was a resounding no! Neither were they that keen on my suggestion that they adopt me instead!
Be happy in your forever home Jobi - 'tis obvious you'll be much loved.
