Poor girl.... Still, she must feel much more comfortable now and appreciate that there are kind people trying to help her...... I remember back the times when our old Bonny boy was still with us. He was suffering from gum disease and our vet said there was no cure. He was about 16 at the time and it was so bad and he had to have 28 teeth taken out........ He was so good and it did not bother him at all. He was quite happy eating cooked minced meat, porride, rice and other mushy stuff. So I'm sure little Esme will just accept that they have gone now and will happily live with her missing teeth. Oh, bless her. Viviane. X

Her mouth already looks so much better I hope her gums heal quickly and I'm sure she'll be crunching kibbles with the best of them with those remaining teeth

Sara, if you are wanting to apply for an SLR dog we will need an application form and a homecheck, and high fences. Esme is going to meet Aalto this weekend, and if they get on fine, who knows. Mummychook will be crying by teatime on Sunday. Esme can jump a normal stairgate I accidentally locked her in the bedroom whilst I got ready this morning, and out she popped.

Esme went back to Anil this evening for a checkup. All good, although the holes are still huge. Her breath smells good and she wagged her little piglet tail as he checked her heart. All good. I must apologise - I forgot to ask what he wants to do about monitoring the lumps on her mams I will email him. But for now, miss piglet Esme is weighing in at 12.5 kilos!!! She has been on 3 meals a day, including fish and chicken and eggs, and loves her food. So..... she is ready to go to her new foster home with Vaila. But.... if Aalto has other ideas....... Michael would never notice.... would he

No. Kste... If anyone is going to admit failure I feel it has to be me. I am fully prepared to lay myself down on the line again to failure.... BUT I HAVE THIS FEELING..... that Aalto will love her... I couldn't possible inflict failure on you YET.

Yaay! Glad she had a good appointment! 12.5kg! That's fantastic, is that her at the correct weight now, or is she still a bit thin?
Can't wait for us (and more importantly Aalto) to meet her on Sunday ;D

She is a good 22/23 inches at the shoulder Vaila, so another kilo would be good. She is a gentle soul. Alto can't fail to love her. We all do. Hope you have a good supply of chicken and white fish and eggs in? She loves her brekki at 7.45 a.m. Dinner at 11.30 a.m. and then another dinner, pacing the floor at 7.30 p.m.

Esme was a gem in the car home, snuggled up with Aalto. She's been for an explore around the flat, out into the garden for a few wees, had her late lunch and is now snoozing on the sofa in her fleecy jumper and wrapped up in a throw Aalto has stolen her bed, but I don't think she minds....since she has the whole sofa
