Hope you have had a nice evening Kate. Max is such a credit to you and your family. He is the perfect gent, and a joy to have here. Here's a close up of the gorgeous gangly boy! He looks so puppyish at times. Perhaps it is his gangliness, but he really does seem a lot younger than 2. He's just been outside for a wee and is now lying on the sofa - bored with his duvet obviously! ;D

.......he really does, doesn't he? He's obviously been made to feel very welcome Have to say...I was very tempted by Max....he is so gorgeous. It must be hard for you Kate (and family) to let him go.....but lovely to see him looking so content and knowing you did a great job in preparing him for his new home.

I am so so proud of this boy - he did a total turn around in the time we had him - from being very insecure to a confident young bouncy lurcher..... Glad he has found the sofa - thats his favourite spot Just remember Sara, be firm and correct him when needed - he is young and the training is ongoing... Suddenly thought we hadnt given him a birthday (so as long as things carry on going well) how about yesterday ..... his second birthday and (hopefully) gotcha day !!! Be Good Maxi baby .... we miss you .... Indy is trying so hard to play with Dodger now but typical donut spaniel hasnt got a clue what to do !!!!!!!! Oh well, I am sure Jenny will land another foster on me xxxx Have a good day everyone. Kate xx

Not a peep out of him all night! When we had lights out he did jump on to our bed - but I just took him back to his bed and told him to lie down, and he stayed there all night without a murmur. Bless him!! This morning he jumped on to our bed for a cuddle, but not until he heard voices. I've been out buying him Nylabones and squeaky toys, and chew sticks. I'm going to give you a call later today for a catch up too Kate.

Another update. Max continues to make himself well and truly at home! Cleo is fine with him 99% of the time, but is obviously a little jealous and will give him a low warning growl now and again - particularly if she is lying next to me and Max comes up for a fuss. But tonight he jumped up on the sofa next to her, and she tolerated him. Look at her face in these photos!! Max is obviously enjoying spreading out, whilst she curls up at the far end! ;D He is sooooooooo gorgeous!! And she loves her foster brother really!

fabulous pics Sara ..... thats good progress after only a week - small steps are always the lasting ones Indy is very lost without him - on our walks he runs a bit, stops and wanders back and nudges me .... i keep saying 'I'm not bloomin running' Whenever i see another dog i think Indy says 'thank dog for that!!' Keep up the good work - I am off tomorrow so will check in on my return ..... Kate

Max definately looks very settled and content & Cleo is just adorable. It must be a boy thing though, to lay all sprawled out on their back with everything on show Alfie nearly always lies like that whenever he is on the sofa

I am going on holiday tomorrow whilst Max still has a big reserved sticker on his gorgeous bum .... so wanted to post the pics i took of his new foster (hopefully new) family ..... I have a feeling that on my return i will find this lovely family in the Happy Endings section. Maybe premature but just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Sara and Tony for fostering this gorgeous boy with the hope of failing miserably !!!! I have a feeling its a match made in heaven ... I will check in next week to check the outcome .... I miss this boy soooooo much ... please snuggle him lots from me and Indiana Jones xxxx

I think it is pretty much a foregone conclusion that we will fail miserably as fosterers!! LOL!
Poor Max doesn't look very happy in that photo, does he??
Thanks Kate - you've done so much for him, and I know you will miss him terribly. xx

You are only allowed to fail and keep him as long as you emergency foster for us. THAT IS THE DEAL. Knock knock...

You are only allowed to fail and keep him as long as you emergency foster for us. THAT IS THE DEAL. Knock knock... Well with dogs as easy and Max and Cleo, I think we probably could manage it! Seriously though we are still up for fostering over Christmas as mentioned on your thread. And of course if you needed us in the future then we would always oblige if we can. xx
