Well 24hrs on and we are already seeing a different girl, she is slowly finding her confidence. Following a game of football in the garden at 10.30pm last night, a little snackette, and Saffi curled up snoring in her crate, unbelievable. Both us parents laid half asleep listening out for the new baby (as you do), knackered today, yet not a squeak all night. Spent most of today asleep bless her, interleaved with a little run on lead in the fields and another game of football this evening, was a joy to see her bounding around with the girls - she very quick as well. She has also eaten well today and a few treats has bought her out to eating in the open with us. Only thing we cant put our finger on, she is 'rubbing' both eyes, not all the time but we have noticed a few times again today - welcome any thoughts on that one - or is she just tired with sleepy eyes Loving her The Chard Crew Attachments:

Keep an watch on her eyes for any discharge. It could be the onset of conjunctivitus. I would just wipe her eyes in the mornings with a saline solution. Ours have been shaking their ears the last couple of days, and we have treated them with advocate. Glad you are all getting some sleep.

Now that my heart has resumed normal service I promised the Chard crew that I'd stick up a few pictures of our week with the lovely Saffie. First day recovery Getting to grips with my fears Learning to play again with lots of teasing! First run off lead, yeeee haaaaa! Hummmmm, grass 'chew fest'. Starting to feel proud of myself again. Chillin' with Judy Learning to knit, or is that Nit? Play time! Thanks to the Chard Crew for giving this special girl a lovely home and big hugs to Saffie for bringing such pleasure into our lives this past week.

48 hours since last update and every day little Saffi seems to be a different dog - or should i say puppy? We are really seeing her playful side coming out. She loves a game of football, ball of string, tumbles with the girls, even fetch. Went out for a wee on her own earlier, next thing she is bombing around the garden with a ball in her mouth - lovely to see. Starting to gets few commands going nicely now, me thinks she has a collie brain raher than a saluki brain - sure you know what i mean there Today she did her first walk to school with Rhianna, she loved it and took it all in her stride. Loads of pats and strokes and not a flinch, just a very waggy tail. She then sat patiently as the mums chatted - ages and ages you understand! She stands like Charlie Chaplin, front legs pointing 10 to 2 - looks really funny, and she can snore even with her eyes open. The little flea fly is still bugging her, will see the vet tomorrow and see what we can do. Also her eating pattern is a bit haywire, eating enough, but tends to start from late afternoon then eats until bed time. We will slowly engineer a better routine in time but will leave her to settle a liitle longer before we start this one. So overall all going great, she may have missed some love for a few months but believe me, we are all making up for it now ;D
