Moss was going to come into SLR earlier this year, but the family thought they had found a solution to their problems by re homing her to a family member. Alas the family member's terrier and Moss did not see eye to eye and Moss needs to move onto new pastures. At present she is still within the family but will be coming into SLR as soon as a foster home is found for her. Moss is around 23/24 inches at the shoulder, and a whippet collie mix. Very intelligent and very loving. She does like to have all the attention. Moss can easily jump a 4.6 fence so high fencing for any adopters. She also is NOT cat or small animal friendly as she loves to chase. Her recall is in her own time and when off lead, she will chase wildlife and come back when she is ready. Moss has been used to being off-lead in a very large garden, and needs to go to an active home. As an only dog or possibly with another male dog. She is child friendly, but not small toddlers please as she may knock them over. Moss is approximately 2/3 years old now and will be neutered either at a foster home, or new adopters will be asked to sign a neutering agreement. We only have a couple of photos of Moss at the moment, but are waiting for some more to arrive. If you think that you can give Moss a loving home, with some good training, she will reward you with endless love.

Moss came to me yesterday - she certainly is a sweetie. She is so good with my two and has already met Lottie who has been next door just 3 weeks. She seems to get on with all dogs. Took all four out together this afternoon. She is good on the lead - havn't let her off yet. Will try her with children later on this week when my grand daughters break up from school. She is so pretty her pictures don't do her justice. My Kodak and Photobucket don't seem to be talking to each other so will just keep trying and eventually am sure I will get pics on.

Sorry Joy - I was so pleased with myself for managing to download this pic after much fiddling around that I totally forgot the purpose for doing so, i.e., to post it here!

Update on Miss Moss. I have 5' fencing and Moss dosn't even look at it. I don't think she wants to escape. She has met Lottie from next door and they get on really well but she dosn't try to jump over to her. I think she could live with a male dog or a bitch. She likes Sam, Bonnie and Lottie. She loves to groom Bonnie, especially her ears. Sam just won't be still long enough. She does want a lot of attention and is very very loving. I didn't think there was another dog as soft as Bonnie until I met Moss. Meeting children tomorrow. Pictures a.s.a.p.

Well Moss gets better every day - I think she is quite a shy little girl and has to feel really safe before she lets go. Sam and her have just done about 8 laps of my garden and she was really into the lurcher lark. Bonnie just sat and watched them. She just craves love and affection. I didn't manage pics with children yet as they were busy but will get them a.s.a.p. Have asked Jean to post a pic for me so you can see how different her and Bonnie are. They were sat on the sofa this morning and I couldn't resist the pic. My comp should be fixed by Monday if not I am kjust going to get a new one. Sod (sorry) the expense. Moss will make someone a lovley companion in return for lots of cuddles.
