Lottie and Lily came into together, but with full consultation to their relinquishing owner and foster family it has been decided that they wil be rehomed separately.
Lily, (5), & Lottie, (6), will be coming into SLR’s care on Monday evening, sadly as a result of their loving owner’s serious health issues.
Both girls are neutered, vaccinated, & microchipped. They will be wormed & flea treated before coming under our wing.
Having visited Lottie and Lily's relinquishing owner today and had a long chat with both her and with Donna it has been decided that the girls WILL be re homed separately.
Donna has noticed that Lily is the dominant one, not through choice, but seems to be acting the older sister, and Lottie is quite stifled. But when the two girls are exercised separately Lottie starts to come out of her shell.
Lottie seems to be doing things to please Lily, and Lily is not sure about how to cope with leadership.
Both of them seem to feed off each other's anxieties.
We feel that both would benefit from different dynamics.
Lily, (the rough coat in the pic), & Lottie are cat friendly, having lived with two felines.
Both girls are rescues, & Lottie still has some baggage following her poor start in life – she is extremely timid, & does not travel well. Other than that there are no issues with either of them regarding adults, children, or other dogs. They are well behaved, & fully housetrained.
I cannot stress enough how gorgeous these two girls are. I've just spent a fabulous hour taking photos of them And one or two might even end up in the photo competition
This is what their foster mum Donna had to say about Lottie.
Lottie on the other hand was a bit timid at first but she seems to have worked out that things stay pretty relaxed out here in the country
And then she discovered that we had a nice comfy sofa which was much more to her taste
They are both now happily lying on the floor, fast asleep. bless them.
