Brindie has come into us via the dog warden down in Hampshire. Little Poppy pegleg came in through from there too. Brindie is currently being fostered with Jayne down in Farnborough and has settled in very quickly. I will leave Jayne to update you all. But the dog warden described her as a poppet, who if she was allowed, would keep in a heartbeat. She is quite a longdog, and only about 23 inches at the shoulder. This is her kennel piccie.

The photo really doesn't do her justice, she is completely and utterly gorgeous. I've asked my daughter to send some new ones to Jenny so she can put them on for me, so you can see for yourselves. Brindie has behaved impeccably since she arrived. She has played with Percy, but not pestered him when he hasn't wanted to. She's ignored his "amorous" intentions with equal good grace. She has let Millie sniff all parts of her thoroughly without murmur. She absolutely loves children, and loves to be cuddled. She has settled down quietly, laying on the floor as I've been cooking as if she'd lived here forever. She also greets you with a happy wagging tail whenever you walk into a room. She just seems a wonderful mix of good looks, love and fun! She would be a great addition to any family looking for a young dog to brighten up their days. She's reckoned to be about 2. And I'm with the dog warden on this one - if I was looking for another dog then Brindie would be the one. And (whisper it quietly in case Jules reads this) I don't even really do brindle... ;D

What a lovely little brindle this girlie is......... Just been at "Happy Endings" to make a direct comparison with little peg leg Poppy and little Brindie. The similarity between the two is incredible - even their eyes look the same - it really is very strange................ Jenny, as she is coming from the same dog warden in Hampshire, do you think there might be a link between those two? How old is little Brindie and have you got any history of her? Viviane. X

Just wanted to say, she has a lead on in the photos because I was being really cautious - I was worried about Percy after the way he was with Shadow, so I left her lead on in case I needed to get her out of the way quickly. I also had jars of water at strategic places around the house in case I needed to throw one over him!! As it turns out, he thinks she's great and they've been playing happily together. Even Millie really likes her, so for the first time I have another dog in the house that both my two like..... I didn't hear a sound out of her all night by the way, and she slept peacefully downstairs with my two. She's off to the vets later on today for her vaccinations and chip, but first I'm going to treat her with a trip to pick my daughter up from school - she seems to really love children so I think she'll enjoy it

;D We like!
There are others on this forum who don't do brindle. The Worldwide Conspiracy has noted this and will take action shortly...
Do we reckon she's as old as 2? She looks younger, to me. And a bit scrummy.

She is staying with Jayne until next Friday when we will need to find her another foster place. We have had an offer of fostering not far from Jayne and if the family are ready then yes please to your offer Laylah ;D She is a good girlie and should be well behaved with little Pops. But applications are coming in and anything could happen by then.

Brindie has just proved herself to be an able counter-surfer, and the inch difference in height between her and Percy made all the difference!! She decided that 7 o'clock was time to get up (she obviously doesn't understand how Saturdays work in this house) so was let out of her crate, at which point she tore round the house like a mad thing before jumping into bed with Simon (He doesn't believe in letting dogs on the bed, but Brindie soon had him seeing the error of his ways - it's the way she sticks her nose into your armpit that helps, I think...) The rest of the morning has been spent either playing with Percy or chilling flat out on the floor. Oh, apart from the two minutes when she actually managed to get Millie to play with her. This is something of a miracle, because Millie NEVER plays. Having seen her do it today, I know why - she thinks playing means you run at a dog growling ferociously and wagging your tail, then running away again still growling and wagging. Brindie took it all in good part though, bless her!
