Dear All
Thanks so much for your good wishes and a really big thank you to Angie and Fred for doing such a wonderful job with Maisie and to Sam for such a great home inspection.
Her journey home was uneventful with Maisie just getting up a few times to see where she was going, we will however need to put in a dog guard or hide the treats somewhere other than the back seat! Then once at home we thought we would have to return her to her foster home because she would not get out of the car. But after some gentle coaxing and just sitting with her for a while in the boot, she decided to finally explore her new home.
She greeted Joy's father with a wag, some lurcher kisses and a friendly bark and then decided that the garden was just a wonderful especially the fish pond and the fact that the big Oak tree has resident small furries. But these came second to her new toys and the sofa in the Conservatory. She is not sure what stairs are for and that will no doubt come later. She has had a wonderful time exploring and are already watching our 'Crazy Maisie' blossom into a beautiful dog.
Photos will follow when we have figured out how to post them!
Once again a big thankyou to everyone. With kisses from Maisie, and gratitude from Joy & Simon.

Many thanks Joy & Simon for the early update - 'tis always good to hear how SLR hounds are adapting to life with a new family & a different environment. We were all absolutely convinced that Maisie was going to the right forever home, & we look forward to news of her progress as & when, together with pics, once you've mastered the technology! ;D (If you encounter problems posting photos of your lovely lass, just email them to Jenny or myself, & we'll put them up for you. ).

A very belated note of (((HAPPINESS))) for this news. I'm sure you will all be disgustingly happy together, and I look forward to Maisie cuddles in due course!
Very very very many congratulations to all. What a change in her, Angie.
