Riley in the garden this morning with his partner in crime - he & Moss are virtually inseparable.
Just soaking up the sun:

'Tis not difficult getting a reasonable pic of the lad Viviane - he's pretty photogenic! Please don't worry about that, (Annie will prove to be an excellent substitute as a playmate), but spare a thought for him as he's going to the vets for that op this morning.

I'm sure your lovely Annie will be more than willing to entice little Riley to some enthusiastic antics, Barney, after that little lad has recovered from his neutering operation today. Hope all goes well for him. Viviane. X

Not too much trouble for Uncle Barney after your op, little handsome lad! Thinking of you, quite longingly truth to tell.
Could SLR PLEASE stop getting such a succession of gorgeous hounds??? I am seriously considering a life of crime to finance a REALLY REALLY big boat and a piece of secure land so I can nick them all. ;D

Riley is back here, & as right as ninepence. He was limping at the surgery & holding up his bandaged right front leg, (where he's had his ingrowing dew claw removed), but he hopped in & out of the houndmobile with no problem, & is walking fine, so his performance at the vets was probably the usual Lurcher plea for sympathy. My crew & Moss welcomed him back keenly, but gently - he's a big favourite all round in the home-kennel.
I didn't cook his chicken in case he wasn't hungry on his return, but in fact he was ravenous, & demolished a small bowlful of Burns chicken & maize as well as quite a few chicken nuggets. I'll cook his chicken & rice shortly, & see if he'd like it for supper, if not he can have it for breakfast in the morning.
I took a few pics on his arrival back here, but can't download them until the camera battery is charged - I'll put them up later.
The lad is currently snoozing in the hall outside the office, & looks to be in fine fettle. He'll be going back to Anil for his post-op checkup on Tuesday, when he'll also have his second jab.

Riley's first activity on returning to the home-kennel:
........................................& his second:
Having at least temporarily satisfied his appetite, Riley took himself off into the garden:
The boy has very quickly recovered from his op, & he's been quite playful this evening.

Well done, Riley. It always amazes me how quickly these boys usually recover from their neutering operation.

Moss & I educated Riley in the matter of the correct shaped ball to play with before he had the chance to be corrupted in the House of Irons Elliott! ;D ;D ;D
Many thanks for offering to foster the lovely lad buddy - I promise you won't regret it!
Cheers,
Barney

I just can't get over how much like Sasha he looks - it really is uncanny Funnily enough, I remarked to Keith when he picked Riley up yesterday that 'twould be great to have a pic of the lad with Saha & Mischa.
