OMG. That is just so so Alfie McVitie. We just have to come over to the studios and see all of them.
This is weired, McVities whole thread disappeared this morning, I got an error report that the thread was gone, then I found your last post in 10 last posts, clicked into it and the whole McVitie thread came back up again and back into the forum!!! Weired. And no, I am not going mad.
Well folks, McVitie came up to bed last night. On Monday night he was crying at 4 a.m. and he knew that the others were upstairs so last night he was allowed up to bed. He slept on one of the camp beds in our room and Mims slept on the bed keeping her higher status. Alfie slept like a log, but Tag kept jumping the gate into our room and we had to chase him out!! Shattered today, but Alfie is like a rejuvenated puppy. Yesterday he was quite depressed, but today he is a happy chappy. ;D

Not looked in for a while but delighted for Alfie that he has found you all. Can't think how to help the poor boy beside passing on the knowledge of the wonderful herbal remedies a vet gave my old boy who went every so slightly threadbare with allergies in a couple of patches. After biopsies, antibiotics & steroid tablets that made him wee too much he stayed on a cocktail of Garlic and Fenugreek tablets, Mixed Vegetable tablets and Coatex capsules . He rattled a bit LOL but had a beautiful glossy full coat from then on-and no further medication needed for his condition.

Thanks Carol. He went in on Tuesday for a checkup and his first vaccination. Anil is neutering him today. I hope he doesn't think we are abandoning him there. He has really developed a comical playful character this last week, and looks so gangling and bouncy when he playbows. You've got to love him. ;D

Thinking of poor little Alfie all the time but especially today. Don't worry Jenny - he'll just give you THAT look a few times and then he'll smell the roast chicken and he'll love you again ;D

Got a phone call at 2 p.m. Please please come and get Alfie. He is howling the place down. Could hardly hear Lis as he was!!! He was so happy to see me and tail was wagging. He is just like he has never had an op. Happy to be with the pack and the chicken never touched the sides of his mouth. He has since had his normal meal with mined beef. Gone... Alfie is a lovely lovely lad. A bit frightened of big dogs that he doesn't known, but he is getting there. You've got to love him, he is just so comical. xxx

Glad to hear Alfie is fine after his op and his appetite hasn't suffered. Of course he was glad to see you he knows that you care and look after him and that his lot in life has changed since being with you.

Umm. Just had his third meal of the day. Michael got up before me and fed him, but didn't say. I came down to let Elly out and fed him but didn't say. And then when we took them out we realised that we had both fed him, so he has just had a small third meal He's like a hollow egg, needs a lot to fill it ;D Alfie is looking forward to meeting and greeting at Greyhound walks tomorrow.

He met a lovely lady named Sue and her greyhound girlie Judy, and he was very respectful but very interested in sniffing her. She sat with him but neither of them were brave enough to sniff faces ;D I hope she gets in touch because she has just the right quiet home and quiet bitch for Alfie.
He has just been back to Anil for another checkup. Still need to do the anti-histamines and baths for a week. But he can go to a new home in about a week's time. Alfie would like a quiet home and lots of gentle hugs and he loves kissing. He is scared of big dogs that he doesn't know and can get a growl snap in first, but as a youngster this is just scaredom. Once he knows the dogs he is fine. He likes Sioux's forest yesterday and was quite comfortable with Moss. Indoors he is confident and just one of the gang. He is just so comical with all his gangly moving legs, all seems to move at once ;D

Well we had to bring in a little girlie today, no choice, nowhere to put her for now and on her last day. Alfie has had a blast with her. Play bowing, chasing round the patio. Until you have seen an Alfie McVitie running full pelt at you with a camera in your hand you have never feared ;D Just captured it before he did a flying leap to say hello You've got to love this hound. He is so so comical. He doesn't know where the end of his legs are or that he now weighs nearly 24 kilos.

We went round Jen's today and met Alfie for the first time. He's a smart boy and coming on; he's a friendly chap and should do well.
