Hello, A. McV. here... Well, the sun's out and here we all are in the garden. Jenny's got Jules's treat pouch which somebody stole from her handbag in the kitchen... no idea who that could have been. Megan had a go at it too but Milo got caught with it. Tee hee. Here's me and Tag looking a bit too innocent Yup. Thought so That Miss Elly is a bit scary, mind... she's looking at us Everybody behaves when Miss Elly says so If I just stay quiet back here maybe I won't get a telling off too. That Jules bit Tag on the nose earlier. She said it was an accident but it was funny, whatever. Yay! Playing with Milo Hang on! It's two onto one here Megan's quite nice though Aaah! Cool grass on my itchy bits I guess we just wait for dinner, now, and for the treat pouch to be refilled.

Have only just caught up with Alfie McV and have tears in my eyes I just can't believe what some people can do and it's makes me so bloody angry - Dominic said what i was thinking earlier in this post!!!!! Alfie McV looks so much better than from the start, well done Jenny. - the magic touch once again. He is such a lovely boy and it's amazing just how trusting these hounds can be after such a rough start in their lives. Keep up the fantastic work and hopefully he will find a deserving owner soon bless him

I'm getting back on my diet. I still have a middle spare tyre. It all goes Sowwwwf He is doing so well now. Hardly a scratch and just the odd nibble at his nail or toes as they are still quite sore. He is a gem of a dog on the lead, and quite often follows behind. He doesn't seem bothered by cats, but does seem bothered by Jack Russel types. He settles in his crate, and knows so many commands. He has deffo lived indoors before and knows kisses, gives them on command and goes to bed when asked. He had a lovely time with Tag and Milo yesterday in the garden. And has the utmost respect for Miss Elly, who has hardly had to growl at him. She allows him into her space. Just wish he could tell me where he came from and whether there is someone out there longing for him We have boosted him in doglost and after next Tuesday we are definitely rehoming him. We have explored all the usual avenues to find out his past, and nothing. Someone is going to get a lovely boy here.

Alfie is a great dog and someone is going to be so lucky. A couple of families are going to be homechecked in the next few days. Let's hope that one of them is a match for him, if not then please apply.

Im so glad Alfie is finally happy now. He looks so much better than when we found him in a wheelbarrow at the riding school I work at. Although he was extremely frightened at first, when he calmed down and realised we werent going to hurt him, he was the sweetest dog ever and I dont know how someone could treat him like they did. Well done to everyone at SLR for taking good care of Alfie and making him feel a lot better, he looks like a completely different dog now. Cant wait to here more about how hes getting on and I hope the homechecks go well so he gets a happy ending to the new start hes had. It still brings tears to my eyes when I think of him. Give alfie a big hug for me xxxxx

Still a way to go yet Chris. His tail is the worse affected and because the little darling wags it so much it keeps getting hammered at the end. ;D
Thank you for joining the forum Kim. He has a lot to thank you all for. Thank god you got him to us. Poor lad wouldn't have survived the hussle and bussle of kennel life. As you have said he is quite a timid little lad. I have to be careful raising my voice to a certain barking hound in the house as Alfie thinks he is in trouble. He is cute, he is lovable and he is just heaven to walk. ;D

It was nice to meet Alfie at Mote Park, he will be a stunner in a few months and he was sweet and not worried at all about me patting him on the head; ...on the other hand he did not like Ajax much but neither do I ;D

Back to the vets today for another checkup. Anil is still concerned about his redness and has put him on anti-hystermines. He was well enough for his first vax today and was a poppet. He is now booked in for neutering on Thursday as he weighed in at 23.6 kilos. He has put on 1.5 kilos in under two weeks, little big piglet. It was very tiring going to the vets and having an afternoon walk with Jules and Karen in the sunshine so he had a little nap. Didn't quite fit into the Mimbed ;D But not until he had played ball. He loves balls.
