Thanks for the info Mark - delighted that Marcus is safely in the hands of his new family.
I did attempt to post last night, but managed to spill a cup of coffee over my desk, which resulted in a malfunctioning keyboard. Whatever, the important thing is that the lovely lad has begun his new life - we look forward to details & pics of the happy occasion in due course.
Cheers,
Barney

Well as Mark told you last night, Marcus Aurelius Maximus Nose-Us has left the building and the Emperor has well and truly fallen........ He couldn't be swayed by the Sylph like lines of this rather delectable Blonde Or by the time ripened curves of this fabulous Brunette But he was well and truly smitten by the flowing locks of this petite and exotic Redhead, Rua. ;D ;D ;D ;D All joking aside, it was a wonderful meeting between Chris, Mel, Rua and Marcus last night and I have absolutely no doubts that he will be very happy with them. They assure me that he will spend endless hours on the beach with Rua, a local Saluki and 2 other lurchers And, to give you some idea how comfortable he was, the unfaithful hound didn't even look back to see where I was when they left to board the ferry home. Be happy all of you and thank you Marcus for being such a wonderful houseguest - it was a privilege Marcus with his new Dad. And Mum. PS. Apologies to everyone for the delay in posting - it's taken 4 hours to upload these photos . Bl**dy computers

Hi there,Marcus went home on the ferry with us to the I.O.W last night ,was a bit worried by the noise but was instantly distracted by a lady with some sandwiches, and a on the nose from Rua. Chicken dinner and off to bed (pics to follow soon) Today he was introduced to some friends-The hansome Fin ,Boodica,Gwenivier and Sonny.A great time was had by all(pics to follow) So happy to have him, and glad we found eachother. Marcus is now Mungo and has displayed his lurcherness by sticking his nose in the bin on the way back.Fin has shown him the nose in the pocket thing,He is doing so well and is pretty chilled out bless him

So good to hear things went well Chris. Kisses from Rua already? - boy that lad has a way with the ladies ;D Give that prodigious shnoz a for me and then tell him I'm miffed 'cos he didn't even make a token gesture of looking sad when we left him Sorry I haven't been able to reply to your e-mail. Our computer blew up yesterday and we're using an old 486 that's so old, Judy and Sasha are having to run a treadmill to keep it going ;D

Hi there, Mungo has settled in very well, he had his stiches out today(not that he noticed!) He loves to play with Rua in the garden, comes in when called and has easily learnt that sit gets a treat. We let him off the lead on the beach today-he ran round like a rocket and loved it! He even followed Rua in the sea-it was great to see him splashing around like a loon! He's such a lovley boy and we are so glad to have him. Still not much into counter-surfing but does like to rest his head on the table at dinner time as it's just the right height!

Apologies to Mel and Chris who sent these pictures the day after they got Mungo but by computer went kaput and I couldn't post them. Mungo's first morning on the beach meeting Guynevere & Boudica It looks like Mungo likes the beach The way to a lurcher's heart Back home with Rua And after a long day, what's a poor boy to do except ... And I would personally like to nominate Rua as an Honourary Lurcher because .......... She ROACHES ;D ;D ;D
