I'm so pleased to see Marcus here. I know his owner and know the problems she's been having, not because of this guy but because of another dog she has with her. She was so, so sad to see him go, and I know she thinks she's failed him, but it just wasn't doing him any good.
I'll be even more pleased to see him in a forever home, though!

She hasn't failed him at all Liz, but done the best possible thing she could have to ensure that he has a happy, secure future. We're very particular about the forever homes that dogs in SLR's care are permitted to go to - only the very best will do.

Barney xI know, Barney. When she told me where he was, I was really pleased and could reassure her that she'd done just the right thing by him. I think she feels a little better about it now.

I hope I'm not out of turn here and this is only my opinion. I don't think his owner failed him either. Perhaps you could reassure her that she definitely did do the right thing because since he's been here he has not displayed any of the behaviour issues at all. In fact, quite the opposite, he's been a happy go lucky, laid back, very loveable chap which means Marcus 'problems' was a reaction to the other dog(s) and the kindest thing was to remove him.

Barney xNo he's not. Get ready for this and please make sure you are sitting down as it will come as quite a shock I regret to inform you that he has not passed the counter-surfing module of his lurcher certification We are, or course, putting in lots of extra curricula effort to help him master this most fundamental and necessary of lurcher activities ;D ;D ;D ;D

Please don't tell me he's not a bin raider either, otherwise I'll need to ask my GP for stronger blood pressure pills!
