Meet stunning young Marcus, arrived today. Marcus was rescued by his relinquishing owner, but because of the dynamics of the group of dogs he was living with Marcus developed a nervous bladder and anxiety when left with the other dogs. His distraught owner was at her wits end and asked SLR to find him a home with some quieter dogs around him. Marcus popped in today with Barney and he is absolutely stunning. At the present moment he is on his way to foster with Donna down in sunny Surrey. He came in and met the hounds here today and was very patient and even wagged at them. Alfie McV was a little niffed as he wants to be the new boy on the block Here he is, the lovely Marcus. Around 2 years old. More piccies to follow shortly. ;D

I'm sure now in a quieter environment he will thrive & the homecheck list for this lad will be a long one

He sure is a stunning chap but a tad unsure of himself at the moment He's already earned the nickname of Marcus Aurelius Maximus Nose-us Randyarse Bigger-than-a-Whippetus ;D ;D Will post up some piccies of the lad tomorrow.

That's a bit of a mouthful. Can we just call him Marcus ;D He was called Mark, but he is far too roman and regal for that, so Marcus. And he does seem to know it. His name was changed to Jack, but we all know how many Jacks we have in SLR

I somehow don't think his training regime will consist too much of "Marcus Aurelius Maximus Nose-us Randyarse Bigger-than-a-Whippetus, sit," "Marcus Aurelius Maximus Nose-us Randyarse Bigger-than-a-Whippetus, down," "Marcus Aurelius Maximus Nose-us Randyarse Bigger-than-a-Whippetus heel," etc., etc!! ;D ;D ;D

Hiya lurking lurcher painter here, don't suppose (when you have a few spare moments) you could post a close up photo of said hooter and speckly ear please. For research purposes

'Rat-bag' generally fits the bill in this house ;D but don't worry Jenny, we'll stick to Marcus Mind you the OH might get a bit fed up with being told to sit, down, walkies, etc., ;D

Well what can I say? This gorgeous hound has been well and truly undersold He is simply a beautiful greyhound/saluki with all the normal personality traits you would expect. It is early days yet but, I can't see any evidence of SA and there have been no accidents in the house. I think all this lad needs is a sighthound savvy owner who understands normal sighthound behaviour He's is so genteel with the other dogs - this was the scene about an hour ago. And just so that you can see the fabulous roman nose ;D Oh, and he and Sasha are already firm friends And one of the lad on his own cos' he is handsome

What a lovely looking hound thank goodness he got out from that bad situation he was in I am sure it was no ones fault just bad circumstances for him. And how lovely and settled he looks already with you bless him.
