Gem went to the Kent offlead run yesterday. Sorry - no camera, no pix still.
We were very proud of the way she joined in the fun and games. Yesterday she was very much more a doggie dog than a people dog; although I'm sure she won everyone over yesterday, especially if you've a weakness for busy little dogs as she bustled round the field, showing a very good turn of speed, although struggling a bit compared to the greys and grey xs. But she is only little.

Now the camera is unjammed, some pix of Gem
At North Weald in October
And at home with us
She really is a little cutie. She walks with a bit of a sailor's roll and she looks like she should be throwing up divots. She loves her ball and even when she misjudges a high one and it hits in the face, she just carries on, brings it back and wants it thrown again.
She's quite feisty and strong, but would be good with older children - say 10+ - who were confident around dogs.

She really is a cutie. In many ways she reminds us of our old girl Zoe when she was young, especially as she does a little "donkey kick" as she jumps to catch the ball in mid air. And the way she cocks her head and lifts her paw as she waits for you to get on with the game is very sweet - in a bossy way. ;D

I think we can safely say that Gem is not cat safe.
Having recounted elsewhere what happened when next door's cat got in the house, this morning I let her out into the garden for a pee, she must have found him loitering again. By the time I got something on my feet to bring her in, she'd spent a good while barking and scabbling at the fence as he basked on another neighbour's shed roof.
