Hi again. 3 weeks in and we are so in love with this wonderful dog. He has lots of friends he meets on the run after the school drop off . He found out the other day that he's not at all sure about going swimming in a cold river !!! It did make us laugh - he looked at us as if it was our fault!!!! He has learned to sit at the kerb edge - whether he would do it if no one was there with him is unknown!!!! He has the occasional accident inside, but only if the door hasn't been left open. He doesn't yet bark or scratch at the door to let us know he needs to go! We'll get there. Rabbit training is still work in progress, as is telling him not to mouth or nip at us. He can be a bit too boisturous if he's excited, hopefully he'll learn as he matures. He has developed a wariness of men. He won't approach and shies away, even when he is a bit familiar with them. He has refused to be taken out by his Dad, but that has improved. We are getting him to do the feeding and treat giving etc. to associate him with good and fun things. Slow and steady as we go!!!!

oh bless him, funny enough i was talking to your husband when you came to pick him up. and i said hes a ladies man (dooley i mean!!!!!!) im sure in time he'll learn to trust, i thought maybe he was more for me as i picked him up and had the long drive home with him its funny though my boyce has recentley developed a phobia about people with hats on he goes mad when we are out if he sees someone with a hat on, and i mean mad!!!! my hubby wears one all the time and hes fine with him, but if its anyone else i really think he would bite given the chance!!!! i dont understand why as we've had him since he was 4 months! but maybe something happend before we got him that seeing someone in a hat brings back bad memories!!! or maybe hes a bit of a gok wong at heart, and is trying to tell them it doesnt suit them!!!! we get our friend paul to come round and when boyces settled paul puts the hat on, boyces uncomfortable with it but hes getting there! like you say slow and steady! x 4 dooley x
