I have a cat Most likely if Pip came to your home-kennel it'd pdq be an ex-cat!
Jenny has a list as long as your arm of folks looking for a cat-friendly Lurcher, but sadly in most cases that is a contradiction in terms! Poor lad won't be after tomorrow!

Took little Amy to Anil for her vaccinations and a quick check-up tonight and picked up adorable Pip. Anil said that he was such a lovely dog, and never moved when he was having his leg shaved, just watched and didn't flinch with the needle. He was an absolute poppet when we picked him up. Amy almost fell asleep on Anil's vet table as he was examining her. She liked it there! Pip has had one chicken/rice dinner and will have another one shortly. He was glad to be home and made a bee-line for his kitchen crate. I think that he likes to feel cosy and safe. Well, he will be up on the bed in the morning for biccies and tea and a little spoiling. ;D

Gorgeous little lad went over to the neighbours today to meet the toddlers. He was a star. We can certainly tick child/toddler friendly in his box. And... Pip is now reserved pending all checks. ;D

Little Pip is off to live with Helen and Chris tomorrow. We had a last night cuddle on the sofa. What a lovely little lad Pip is. ;D God bless you little Pip. You deserve the best in life. You have been dealt a rough deal so far, but life is going to get ever so better. If ever God sent a little angel down to earth, it was you. Love you little man. Be happy. ;D

Little Pipkin has left the building. What a little heart stealer he is. He loved the children and was the total poppet he has shown us to be. Be so so happy. You stole my heart and a little piece of it went with you today. All my love little man. God bless. All the best for the future Helen and Chris. ;D

aawww hes such a darling, he tempted me! Good luck to him xxxxx I'm sure that he tempted everyone who met him! I've never encountered such a placid Lurcher.
Be happy young man - we know you'll be much loved.

I admit I shed a few tears as he left. But when these photos arrived I knew that he was in the right place. Thank you so much Helen and Chris for taking on the gentlest of lurchers. He will reward you with so much faith and love. With your permission Helen, I will put your photo on?!! ;D Pip, you have made it. All that heartache and loneliness gone. Be so happy little man.

New update from Helen Ah, little man is doing so well - take a look at the piccies to see how well!! They are not posed, he really does go and sit with the children all the time. I think he had a little fright last week over the park when four big dogs rushed over to him all at once and now he seems a little frightened of "packs" but I'm sure he will recover. Everyone thinks he is such a gentleman over the park. In true lurcher style, he is SUCH a greedy scavenger. The childrens lunch often disappears if they take their eyes off the ball but find it hugely funny. Everything disappears from the kitchen if I'm not careful - cheese, butter, chicken.....I'm learning fast to put everything up REALLY high. What a laid back dog. ;D
