I have now worked out how to add photos - yippeeeee!! Well done Sue! We've all been through the frustrating 'learning to post pics' syndrome, & there's some I could mention who haven't yet managed to get as far as you've achieved! ;D

Think its a miracle that I got them onto site at all without trying to make them any smaller Jenny!!!!
Russ was off today so we took them for a 2 hours walk around the fields and down by the River Brain, even let them off lead for some of the time. They were exhausted when we got back but not as exhausted as I was and am!!
We are hoping to go on the greyhound/lurcher walk in Braintree this Sunday

Off lead still only when others dogs not around! Missy used to be the worst but Robbie feels he has to add his growl to the arena now too. Think getting them used to other dogs is no.1 project. Whilst out a lovely German Pointer aged 2 called Will came to play with them - their reaction was not charitable! Lucky we had them back on lead when we spotted him approaching. We walked with Will and owner and after about 15 mins things did get better. Maybe Robbie will be less possessive after Missy is neutered on Monday.

Aww, I expect it might as she'll no longer smell "receptive" but I would think Missy should naturally be "top dog" indoors and probably defers to Robbie outside (this is the most common for girl/boy pairs). What you can do is try and teach Robbie to "go greet" the idea is that he goes up to the dog at a sensible pace offers a greeting and then plays or backs off as appropriate. To teach it you need very good treats and a few stooge dogs Claire x p.s. also if they were already on lead then this will heighen any emotions - shame they didnt play GWP would have given them a good run !!!

Been a little worried about Robbie lately, loads of lumps which I thought were Lipomas (and vet confimred they are), but he has also had a few bouts of dire-rear and also sometimes he just stands as thought he has forgotten what he is doing. Anyway, we had bloods etc done and verdict is that all is fine and he is doing good for a fella of his age (13 in May), so I can relax and stop worrying about our laid back gentleman.

Aaawww, lovely Robbie. At almost 13 years of age he's entitled to be a little vacant at times. I hope you have loads of quality times ahead with him still to come.

Blimey 13 is a good age for a Lurcher, so as Ro says he is entitled to look a bit vacant sometimes. I hope you have many more years with the lovely boy xxxx

So sorry for your loss, beautiful boy and a beautiful soul. I'm so glad you found each other, you made him happy, you made his life. Time is a great healer they say and it's true, but the pain you're feeling now is unbearable, take care. Run free at the bridge Robbie, say hi to Freeway x
