Ben arrived today, transported by Uncle Barney. He travelled up with Barney's 5 dogs from Dorset. Barney said he was a lovely lad all the way. He has settled in here with my girlies, and apart from our matriarc Elly putting her foot down all the girls have accepted him. He is adorable. Just six months old. Vaccinated but will need to lose his two cherries! He is submissive, lovable and so soft. His temperament is to die for. Lovely Ben is now looking for his forever sofa. How gorgeous is this Ben will need someone around pretty much 24/7, so we will not consider applicants who work more than a couple of hours in this instance.

He was a little start last night. Cried for a couple of minutes, then tried to lowly howl, but I shouted down for him to go to sleep and he did just that. The alarm woke us all up at 7.10 a.m. Michael let him out and he peed for England. I have just taken him on the field next door and he has pood for England too!!! Miss Elly kindly gave him a graze on the nose last night, so I think little Ben will steer clear of Grumpy ;D ;D

Just returned from a lovely walk at Pishiobury. I forgot to take my camera, but little Ben was content to walk alongside me on the lead. He had a play with a black cocker spaniel and a goldie. Sofi came too, and they are fine in the back of the car together. She has mellowed. Just bathed Sofi, as she found some foxes poo!! Will get some more piccies as soon as... ;D

;DHe has another wee ;D I'm getting good at this now. Drink equals 1 minute and out for a wee. Food equals 5 minutes and out for a poo. He is being so good. He reminds me of Woody without so much hair. He is a softy smoothie, and I suspect that is his nature too ;D OMG He snores so loudly.

LITTLE Ben had his MOT at the vets tonight. Healthy and happy with a good ticker. He had his vaccinations with the mixed rescue that asked us to take him, so we are just waiting for his paperwork there. The girlies have accepted him now, and to my surprise Mim has been especially kind and nice to him Even licking his ears ;D

Spoke with Hubby earlier and we would love to have Ben - the challenge of house-training and the 24/7 attention, just let me know if... and I'll keep my fingers crossed....

Hi Penny. Can you email me again. Mummy chook slept on the sofa last night. Michael was adament that another dog was NOT coming upstairs. He started out really good in his crate, then cried, but it didn't help that Michael came up to bed at 1 a.m. He wouldn't settle and I cam and slept on the sofa next to his crate, and Megan slept on the dog bed by the fire. I think he is missing the company of the doglets that he lived with. He snuggled up to Megan by the fire this morning. She seems to know that he needs her. Wish I had my camera next to me. He is a lovely social boy. No accidents in the house yesterday, and went out at 5 a.m. for a big wee. He is also a very good boy. ;D Ben is ready to go into a foster home/new home as he has absolutely no baggage apart from being a little insecure, but then I would be too if I had already spent 4 months in one foster home, to be taken 4 hours up the motorway and dropped off at MY house at 8 p.m. You have to love him, as he kisses and cuddles for England. ;D

Ben is spending the day here, as the Boss has stuff on. We walked 4 dogs together, Ben, Megan, Jack & Honey and a good time was had by all. Ben and our two had breakfast together. Boy, can he eat. He'd finished before our two had condescended to look in their bowls (don't ask ). He's a clever boy; after he'd finished but before he was sure the bowl was empty he put his paw in it to stop it being pushed around the kitchen floor. Honey does this but Jack hasn't thought of it or copied yet. So far no accidents in the house. Honey has told him off a couple of times for being cheeky, but much of the time he's been lying behind me watching me work.

Photos of the boy's visit today. The grass needs cutting Honey on guard (the chairs were set up to get the dogs to jump when a cane was stretched between them.) Mum playing conkers with Ben Ben behind me while I (try to) work, with Jack under cover. He's staying overnight but any trouble and he's out of here quicker than you can sing "1,000 green bottles"
