Oh Joy, you have done wonders for that boy. I am sure his previous owner is so happy that he has come to you before going onto his new home. And that is a lovely new home, but you have given him his youth back. I know you will miss him terribly and this is going to hurt you. You are his angel Joy.

Sam and Bonnie have done all the hard work I just watched them. We will be sad but knowing where he is going it will help. I will try and get a pic of him with his new Dad tomorrow. They are going to join the site , so we won't lose touch. Looking forward to helping another hound. X

This is Alfie's new mum saying hello to all SLR members. We are so excited that Alfie will coming to join our family tomorrow. Please be assured that he will be very much loved and looked after and will want for nothing. I have stocked up the cupboard with all his favorite food and treats and my 4 yr old lurcher Beau will be just fine with him as he is just a baby boy without an aggresive bone in his body. My 13yr old daughter insists that alfie has to sleep in her bed, with her, which is fine with us. I will certainly keep everyone up to date as to how he is settling in and will post photos. ( can anyone tell me how to do this as I am a computor dinosaur !!!!) I will ring Joy on Friday to let her know he has arrived safe and sound. from Jo x

Alfie has left with his new Dad Rod - he remembered him from his visits last week and was quite happy to hop into car. Bonnie, Sam and me are a little sad but also happy for Alfie and his new family.xxx

Think Bonnie really liked Rod too. They have promised pics in new home.
It will be strange just taking two dogs out this afternoon. Joy x

Alfie arrived safe and sound and slept for most of the journey. He has been playing in the garden with a tennis ball while Beau had his favorite battered football, with no air in it. He has eaten a little food and drinking water and between him and Beau the garden has been throughly widdled on!!! Will keep you posted. Jox

I did the homecheck for Alfie and he really has gone to a fantastic home with a lovely family. Hopefully I'll be meeting the boy himself soon.

Alfie Update.---- He slept like a baby first in our daughters bed and then he came into mine and Rod's bed about 2.00am, walked up to the the top near the pillows and with his nose lifted the duvet and slid in and remained until 8.30ish. He has been to the woods with Beau and walked beautifully off the lead running in the fields with a retriever called Charlie, Beau and a cocker spaniel puppy called Molly. The same people walk their dogs everyday so it is like a doggy youth club!!!! Taken some pics and will attempt to post them !!!!!
Dear Sarah, have no worries, Alfie will be cherished. he has settled in very well and has certainly made himself comfortable, and why not?? Keep viewing for pics ( as soon as we can work out how to post them!!)
