Oh look at him, he is so handsome...... but can't believe how thin he is. Still, he is in the most capable hands now, and uncle Barney's food and his hounds will soon make him smile all over. Welcome to your new and happy life, Bailey! Viviane. X

A few more pics from this afternoon, giving an indication of just how thin he is:
I took him out for a couple of walks this afternoon, & he pulled a bit at the beginning of each one, but nowt untoward, & he soon walked normally, (or as normally as one can when one's nose is heavily engaged in sampling a whole multitude of new & intriguing scents! ).
One discovery this afternoon is that as well as being a bin raider, Bailey is an accomplished countersurfer.
I'm delighted to say that the lad appears to be getting less timid all the time.

Once he gets used to a regular life with regular routine, Barney, i'm sure he will soon drop his bin-raiding and counter-surfing habits. He will know, that he will get his fair share as well as your Harlow-Hooligans............. That must be a completely new experience for him (he is looking like a bag of bones at the moment). He probably had to fend for himself, never knowing when the next meal would come up for him. He will be allright and he will thrive under your care, Barney, I know he will............ Viviane. X

Bailey had a good night, spent mainly on one of the dog beds in the hounds' bedroom, although he did wander downstairs at silly o'clock to go out for a wee, & then decided he'd have a couple of minutes play with Ronnie!
This morning he greeted me with a wag & was very happy to have a stroke. He's still flinching slightly, but is pleased to have a fuss made of him - he's going to prove very affectionate, & he's obviously got an abundance of spirit.
He had his tablets with no problem at all - he likes Lurpak! & enjoyed his chicken & rice.
He has a bath to look forward to later..........................

Oh Barney, will it be down to you to get the timing right to let him out for a wee in the middle of the night, I wonder........... He will SOON learn, I'm sure. ;D For a change from all the downpours we've had lately, it is a beautiful morning down here on the coast, an opportunity to let them all play in the garden. Oh, and have fun with him at bathie time - he may love it! ;D Viviane. X

Practising bin-raiding yesterday:
In the garden this morning:
Resting prior to having the shower I sneakily hadn’t warned him to expect:
With the chew he received for being a good boy in the shower:
With his jumper on after he’d dried off:
