Lady is a steady 3 year old saluki/grey lurcher. Semi-rough coat. Unfortunately her mum needs to go into hospital for the foreseeable future and she thinks it is best for Lady to have some stability and love in her life. SLR are going to take her under our wing but hope to re-home her straight from home. This is what mum has to say about Lady. She is in every sense of the word a "Lady". Her injections are due April, she is a very loving dog, enjoys lots of fuss and attention, she will sit to comand and give both paws for treats, i dont have a car so i am not sure. When she gets to know people who look after her she is good off a lead. I walk her on a harness and a flexi lead, her birthday is 25th january 2006, she has no major health problems, the only thing she gets is mucky ears occassionly. Lady is unneutered at present but SLR will oversee a neutering agreement. She loves children and people and other dogs. IS NOT CAT FRIENDLY. Lady is 3 years old. Around 24 inches at the shoulder. She is used to being left a while for shopping etc, but not all day. As you can see, used to her home comforts and well loved. Can you offer Lady a loving home. With or without another dog but lots of love please. If you can, please get in touch with Jenny or Barney at SLR.

They all have guardian angels don't they ;D Jeanette is homechecking a potential new home for Lady tomorrow morning. Her first homecheck for SLR. This lovely lady has an oldie and as long as Lady gets on with Judy then she has a home to go to. All think positive vibes for their meeting.

So glad you have found someone to do this home check for you Jenny fingers crossed all goes well, it will be the best thing for Lady if she can be re homed straight from home. If things don't go to plan, I am sure they will just give me a shout and she is more than welcome in Bedfordshire.

Um, things have moved on a bit since this afternoon Jean. Joy has brought her back with her to her house. She is being an absolute poppet. Her poor owner couldn't put off going into hospital any longer. So, fingers crossed for a good homecheck and a good meeting of the two girlies. Jennyx.

Well we got through the night. Just fingers crossed for the homecheck. She is a poppet walks well on lead and gets along with Sam and Bonnie. Unfortunately with her being in season I have to keep her away from Sam. She has obviously been well loved, and I am sure she will make someone a lovely pet.

I'm afraid the prospective adopter has got the wobbles. I can't blame her. She makes a tentative enquiry yesterday morning and by last night I have her being homechecked with a visit on the cards. We know Lady is lovely but she doesn't, and is quite rightly panicking at the thought of an immediate decision. We may have to take you up on your foster offer Jean. If that happens I will do the travel run and meet Joy halfway, and if you could meet me up near Stevenage way, up the A.1 corridor. The homecheck is still going ahead for this morning.

Just have to add a bit more about Lady - She is a bit overweight. Because her owner has not been well I think she has been missing out on exercise so once she gets more that problem will be solved. She is so quiet around the house and no trouble. Not greedy. Walks beautifully on the lead. She is gentle and well mannered. She has not grumbled once at Sam for being a "pest". She travelled very well in the car. She has met a few neighbours and they all say -wow another gorgeous lurcher.
