Beagle came into us today through a private home. The family were unable to keep him as they were informed that they had to dismantle their kennels and reduce their number of dogs. He has been well look after and is in lovely condition. Beagle is vaccinated, up to date on worming and de-fleaing and at 7 months old a beautiful black beauty. Is there greyhound whippet there You decide. Beagle was at Barneys today for the day and now is being fostered in St. Albans with Helen, Rowan, Hannah and family. I am sure lots of pictures will be forthcoming shortly. This is the lad in question - he goes by the name of Beagle!
At Barney's house.

Hello, little "Shortfeet Beagle." Welcome to SLR and uncle Barney. I could not say for sure what else is in him - a greyhound? Hmm......not sure, really. Whatever he is, he is a lovely little chap, in superb condition and appears quite friendly.

Beagle is lovely and very good natured. He does have an intelligent look. Viv enjoyed a cuddle with him when we brought him over to Barney's from our Essex rendez-vous. Glad Keith found his way to Hatfield and, more importantly, back home again - that Oldings roundabout can catch you out; no matter how hard I try I always end up in the one of the WGC lanes not one of the Hertford ones. It doesn't help that you can see traffic lights on green but then notice that you'd have to go through red ones to reach them That name is very confusing, although he should be paired with a beagle called Lurch Perhaps he should be called Bugle so he can blow his own trumpet

He's lovely! Great name, too. He's quite muscly, or has the potential to be... I tend to agree with Scotty, looking at the planes of his face (Beagle's, not Scotty's). I agree with DADI about the Oldings roundabout. I've often been round it late at night or in the early hours of the morning and when it has no traffic on it you can see it's littered with many little heaps of broken bits of indicators and rear lights, with added dislodged wheel trims... it's very easy to get wrong!

Beagle has settled in really well here. He gets on well with my two and they seem to like him. He's very inquisitive and is a real beauty. He's quite shy of you at first but once he gets used to you he bonds very quickly. He's nervous outside, but is confident in the house. Also, he love sleeping on the sofa, as you'll see from my pictures Having a sleep On the sofa with Fionn Wearing his coat which is too big for him At least it keeps him dry

Rowan, your piccies are magic I'll hunt through the garage and see if a coat that Caroline gave to us will be big enough for him. We are low on coats of around 24/25 inch size at the mo.

Nice piccies, Rowan. He's certainly beginning to make himself at home on your settee, bless him and I'm sure in a couple of days he won't look quite so worried anymore........ ;>)
