Little Badger's future was not looking good today when we visited his holding kennels. But his personality still gave out signals of love and devotion. His tail did not stop wagging. We had to leave him there unfortunately, but took some photos to try and find him a foster home. By chance Mimsmum arrived home to a friend sitting outside on her doorstep just leaving a note to say sorry she missed her and ring her for a cuppa. She came in for a cuppa and immediately hearing that little Badger had to be left offered her services as a foster home for him. We delivered Bailey to the vets and did a round trip to the holding kennels again and back to the vets with a lovely smelly but cute little Badger in the back of the car. He greeted every dog and cat at the vets with the same waggy tail and cute tilt of the head. This little lad is gorgeous. Only around 23 inches at the shoulder and fully grown. Approximately 16 months old. Badger got a clean bill of health, apart from some urine burns on his nether regions and in-between his toes. He then received his microchip and first vax, all with a waggy tail. My poor friend was packed off home with some towels, dog shampoo and bag and tins of food and a couple of dog toys. She rang a little while ago to say that Badger has had a bath, but still stinks, but not so bad as he did, and has had some dinner and a play. He is adorable and settling in well. Thank you so much Jo for taking him in for SLR and especially as you are all still grieving for your lovely Cassie who left for rainbow bridge just a few months back. Thank you for being there just at the right time. Jo has promised to join the forum so that she can update us all with photos of lovely Badger. Here are just a few taken today.

Oh Badger, you are a lovely boy and fancy them all saying you stink, even after a bath but with them eyes you would get away with anything and I'm sure you will find a permanent home soon .

Hi Mimsmum Well the first night couldn't of gone any better ;D Badger is sooo gentle and affectionate. Even smells alot sweeter, bless him. He had a lovely bath last night and seemed to not be worried by it at all! Badger had a play and went to sleep in his warm comfy bed, toys surrounding him. He then went upstairs with the girls & climbed into Becky's bed!!! (I might add to Becky's deep joy!!) Then had a wee walk with Alex & we all trundled off to our beds. Badger followed me into my room, lay on the floor next to my bed. Then I woke to find that he had placed himself comfortably next to me, leaving me tugging for my duvet! lol!!! We went for a stroll to Becky's school & met the lolly-pop lady. Now he is tucked up with (1 of the Tweenies) Jake in his bed. I think he must be shattered after his experiences as a lost boy. However, he sure is a happy go lucky gentle babe I will keep you posted xxxxx

Well, I have had the most perfect house-guest this weekend. Badger recovered really well from is neutering op and tucked into his roast chicken and rice, and then had a little light dinner later on Friday. He doesn't stop wagging his tail. He is so obedient and doesn't pull on the lead. So far Jo has text me 3 times to see how he is. He has slept on the floor by my side of the bed and not a sound until morning. This dog has not peed once in the house. Who could give him up? Who could not search hill and dale for this little chap? He is to die for. He is a little fearful when Michael puts his arm up for any reason, but not nastily, just submissively and looks very sad. He is squiggie, soft and just adorable. Please god. make Mr. Tag just like this.... ;D

He sounds and looks lovely. Really admire you for what you do, don't think I could really foster, too soft, would end up with all of them - well done you
