It could be catmandoo for all the good I am having in getting a homecheck. I am thinking of contacting Sussex Longdogs next. They are only a little way from here!!! Mr Delfin says if I am a very good girl, stop moaning and finally finish his boring accounts tomorrow we can all go to Camber at the weekend. ;D Thats not very far from Herstmonceux it will probably be Saturday as it's heavy rain on Sunday. Is that any good.

Orin's back home and is very subdued. He has been standing around for ages and didn't want to lie down for a while. He's had a little bit to eat and is now asleep. Surprisingly, when he came home, Fionn's tail was wagging like mad, and he was fussing over Orin Tipton couldn't care less and has ignored him I hope the people in Herstmonceux can get a homecheck Fingers crossed.

Hang on in there Rowan I know it is hard when you have them a few weeks and especially when your own dogs get attached to them. Just keep the positive in that lovely home in Herstmonceux. You are doing a brilliant job.

Well after a couple of quiet hours Orin was back to his usual self straight away. He was back on his armchair again and his waggy self to everyone. This morning we let him out twice and he didn't go to the loo. A while later I could hear commotion from my bedroom and went down to find Tipton on the landing, quickly joined by Orin who saw me and came bounding up the stairs for a cuddle before I could stop him ( the vet said stairs were a no-no but Orin will have his way). He was really restless and whining and it wasn't until he started trying to find a place to wee that I caught on, so he went outside to relieve himself and all was well until I came down again to find pistachios and a loaf of bread scattered on the kitchen floor But he seems absolutely fine, in fact he's been extra bouncy today.... he's due for a post-op on saturday so all's well with Mr. O.

I was also pondering things poisonous to dogs - like onions, chocolate, etc, so I put in a search and got this www.answerbag.com/q_view/476041Like everything on the web you have to differentiate between fact, opinion and plain untruths but, assuming you don't keep mouldy nuts, all should be well. (We give our dogs a splash of milk at night - people with lactose intolerant dogs will shudder, but ours, and our visitors, have all been fine, so far.)

I'm almost certain he didn't eat any of the nuts; he didn't eat the tasty bread either so I think it was mroe fr the novelty factor of making a mess for the humans to freak out over
