These photos don't do Orin justice. This gorgeous boy is laid back, quiet and stunning. Approximately 4 years old he came into our care via the Dog warden in Berkshire. Orin is being fostered with Rowan and Family in St. Albans. and sharing with two male dogs, both unneutered. Rowan has assured us that the camera will be out shortly.

Well, what can I say about this lad? Friendly with people and dogs but not in your face Only wanted to sniff the cat in the kennel reception, so good chance he's cat friendly Travels well in the car Beautiful soft coat which is a lovely colour - my photos don't do him justice either, but here he is making himself at home at Rowan's with Tipton the spaniel. Fion was too big to get in the photo too ;D

Looks like the lovely hound is making himself at home already well done for fostering him. They soon grow on you I can tell you , I will be sad to see my little foster dog Holly go from us, I am sure you will get just as attached to Orin. Looking forward to seeing more photos.

Orin's only been here a few hours and he's already won the hearts of everyone here As soon as he came indoors he found his bed and curled up straight away. Since then he's been incredibly docile. At first he was a little bit shy but he's already very confident. As soon as anyone enters the room he starts wagging his tail and bounds up to them for a cuddle He got on well with my two first (even though Tipton was getting over dominant : and in the house he's been good with them, although he did have a little growl at Fionn earlier. They'll be fine once they've sorted out the pack order. So far so good, no problems yet. He's been clean in the house and walks well on the lead, but he's a sneaky counter surfer! Like Rosa was saying earlier today, he's still in his scavenging mode. He's such a gorgeous boy, but it's hard to get him to stand for photos as he keeps coming up to you for a stroke! I'll take some better photos tomorrow when we're outside.

With that colouring, those markings, and that facial expression, he's not unlike a smoother coated version of Caroline's Penny.

Just to let everyone know that Orin has had a physical at the vets and is on anti-biotics and medication for his eye infection, and sore foot.

He does remind me of Penny - which obviously means he's gorgeous Hope it goes well with Fionn and Tipton, its taken a few weeks for it to settle own here, but they get there eventually Good luck Caroline

Oh, and just incase you were wondering why they chose the name......? It's after an 80's animated adventure film "Starchaser: The Legend of Orin" Orin wields a mythical sword and frees loads of slaves from the evil Zygon apparently (I might rent it ;D)

Yep, there's a little chunk missing from his right ear. There's also an identical mark on his other ear, but none of the ear is missing I assume he's been a worker as he has scars on his muzzle and he also has a large, round scar on his tummy. He was very good on his walk this morning and everyone we met thought he was lovely He was rather interested in a little black terrier, but he got on well with all the dogs. He was very good during the night. He didn't cry and he hadn't had any toilet accidents. BUT during the night he countersurfed and ate a variety of things including some bird seed and butter! But he's doing really well, and he's very calm and gentle. Initially he was quite shy with us, but now he's gained confidence, he loves to be stroked and cuddled!
