We've had an update this weekend from Toni, Lolly's new mum, and it sounds like she is doing really well. Hi Jenny, Ian and Lesley
Good to hear from you and thank you for organising a name tag.
Yes, Lolly is more than lovely. It will be seven weeks this weekend I think - I am beginning to lose count now. She is progressing and learning all the time ... I am taking her to training lessons with a lady called Julie - very near to me here in Leigh on Sea - who was one of the trainers on the Underdog Show apparently. (I had never heard of it and as it was on Sky Living would not have seen it anyway). They had dogs from The Dogs Trust matched up to celebrities and trainers - and she was one of the trainers! It has cost me a bit but I think it will be worth it - a one to one lesson first (which was last Friday) and then six more weekly ones with the which will be with three other dogs, so quite a small gathering, which I think is good. She trained the comedian Jason Lee (never heard of him either) with his black whippet cross called Jim (who he kept afterwards because he so fell in love with him) - who she said was the spit of Lolly. She just seemed to have a knack and I was more than impressed with her. If you want to look at her website it's called Ace K9.
Hope all is well with you, and thanks again for Lolly. We are having so much fun with her.
Toni xx
PS Sometimes when I catch her on our bed with muddy feet, I sing her the first few lines of It's a long way to Tipperary. I think she gets the joke …and looks at me as if to say “whatever!”and she also sent a few pics which I've copied here for Toni. I like the one bottom left, the cat has one sofa and Lolly the other

What a beautiful young lady Lolli has grown into - I am sure she is going to enjoy her training classes. What else has that little girl: a lovely cold fire, endless beach walks, a p***y as her best friend, tons of toys, and her own sofa......... Would you like to adopt me as well, please? ;D Viviane. X

We've had a lovely update today on Lolly and a few photos Here are a few photos of "our girl". Six months now can you believe since we came to collect her from you. She has settled down so well - no howling when we leave her (which we are quite relaxed about now - and no need for the gate to keep her restrained in case she destroys the cat, she and the Freddy have free rein of the house and he is always in one piece when we return), her training has been invaluable and we are finished with our lessons, for now anyway - she doesn't need to do handstands after all! She is an absolute joy and we don't know what we would do without her - we get so much pleasure from her. She gave us a fright over the weekend with some severe tummy trouble that she picked up from I don't know where and had to spend the night on a drip at the vet - we were pretty depressed and very worried - but she is back to her old self now and full of beans. Would you believe, the cat is ailing at the moment and I have just made an appointment for him in the morning! Some months ago my sister Isobel insisted that I take out pet insurance, thank goodness I listened to her.
I am attaching a few photos of Lolly doing what she really loves best - catching frisbees. These have been taken off some videos on my camera so are not the best quality and a bit fuzzy. If one of you can talk me roughly through how to upload videos onto the SLR site - I will try to get them on there. I would like you to see how great she looks now - her coat literally gleams like black patent. She has certainly come a long way from Tipperary ... in every sense! My friend calls her a "real Essex girl now".Hope all is well with you all. Love and best wishes, Toni, Ken and Lolly x

She was fostered by Lesley and Ian. A lovely job. She has such a lovely perfect home with Toni and hubby. She so reminds me of a little Maisie.
